Sunday, 9 August 2015. Posted by Kerri Hibberd. For this card I used the same papers as my GDT card so it matched. I cut out the beautiful digi using fancy labels die from Sizzix, before distressing the edges using Tim Holtz Peacock Feathers distress ink pad. Finally I added Spellbinders Contemporary Circles die cut in mixed colours to match the backing paper and mounted the sentiment in the middle. Rockin' Heavy Metal Jude from Simply B Stamps. The Occasional Crafter: June 2015

http://www.theoccasional-crafter.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html

Tuesday, 23 June 2015. Posted by Kerri Hibberd. I am so proud of this very special card for my father in law's 70th birthday! He loves fishing, so that was the theme for the card and cake. I found some great paper in my stock for the background. I used some 3d shaker foam to add some dimension to the card and used Glossy Accents for the glasses to make them look like glass. My husband and I also created this huge cake for his surprise birthday party down in Bognor. The cake went down a treat! A very male...

Thursday, 30 July 2015. 4 Crafty Chicks GDT card - Anything Goes / Crazy Egg Challenge. Posted by Kerri Hibberd. Today is my final week as July guest designer over at 4 Crafty Chicks. And I've had a great time designing alongside some very talented ladies for the challenges. I coloured up another fantastic digi from Simply Betty Stamps. Before cutting her out using Sizzix fancy labels. I then distressed the edges of the image and sentiment using Tim Holtz worn lipstick distress ink. 280 3 or more layers.

The Occasional Crafter: January 2015

http://www.theoccasional-crafter.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html

Sunday, 18 January 2015. Posted by Kerri Hibberd. Another male card for a bike lover. I couldn't find a digi of a Moto GP bike that I liked so choose this dirt bike from Kenny K instead. I created my own worded background using the names of Moto GP riders in Taxedo and fussy cut the circle. I simply added some coordinating backing paper and distressed a sentiment from Craftwork cards using Tim Holts Evergreen Bough. Freebie from Far Far Hill. Personalised word cloud made at Tagxedo. A Gem of a Challenge.

The online scrapbook of Stefan Hull. July 25, 2010. Here we go - quick update including summary:. 10 - Tanglewreck by Jeanette Winterson - an imaginative but flawed children’s book - I’m looking forward to Alex Scarrow’s latest series to see how it matches up to this (also) time-based romp. 12 - Sum by David Eagleman - thought provoking imaginings of the afterlife. Some corkers earlier on. Some duds and repetition later. Still. A Must Read! 17 - Spies by Michael Frayn - my first Frayn and a rewarding exp...

The Occasional Affair

April 25, 2012. Gosh, it has been an absolutely crazy and hectic couple of weeks… full work weeks, school performances to attend, friends in and out-of-town, lots of gardening and planting, several weddings and parties for those too… I still have a couple of crazy weeks ahead, but I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel! Summer is almost here and I am SO ready for it! It’s always interesting to find an item that’s over 100 years old, that still looks amazing! I hope you have a fabulous Wednesday!
