The New Season: Full moon and Autumn's passing......

http://thenewseason-petal.blogspot.com/2016/11/full-moon-and-autumns-passing.html

Friday, November 4, 2016. Full moon and Autumn's passing. My painting this week for Paint Party Friday. Moon over the water". Below are several pictures taken this past week here at home. This one from the road looking back up the driveway towards the house. And, a photo taken from the house towards the street. This red maple grows in our backyard and is pretty in all seasons. It has lost many of the leaves already. This little dogwood grows along our driveway. Good thing, right? Thursday (Nov. 3rd).

Tuesday, May 31, 2016. This week is about making a Zentangle on a round beach rock. After a week of working on Sketchbook Journaling, I have a new found appreciation for Zentangle art. There are lots of books that encompass this style of creativity, and the most popular are the adult coloring books. My aim in using it is to come up with ideas that come from within me and not rely on other's patterns so I'm staying away from the coloring books for now. Happy Paint Party Friday! Friday, November 11, 2016. Started but not complete. Some weeks are not conducive to finishing up works of art but they allow for starting a couple of things. I don't know about other people but when I go to the grocery store, enter the produce department I start putting together still life arrangements. This week that is what I did and brought home some colorful example of nature's bounty! Pretty apples with color variation and interesting shapes enter the scene. This was taken yesterday evening and jus...

The New Season: January 2016

http://thenewseason-petal.blogspot.com/2016_01_01_archive.html

Sunday, January 31, 2016. The cheerful birds their airy carols sing, And the whole year is one eternal spring. " Ovid. I am not trained birder person, but I do enjoy watching the birds come to our feeding area. I like to learn about the birds as they appear before us. Today, while reading my new March issue of Birds and Blooms magazine, I heard a ruckus outside. Look at that beak! These photos are a bit blurred due to my dirty windows but I could see the red on the Hairy Woodpeckers head in real life.

Friday, June 17, 2016. This is wedding season, and I am a florist in trade. When I'm not working I am either at home enjoying the garden, watercolor painting, cooking, doing chores or interacting with family and friends. There never seems to be a dull moment! This past week was full of flowers and a couple of weddings! I want to share a "new" to me rose that is simply beautiful and flawless. It is called "blueberry." We had to special order it and it is one I won't forget! Favorite for the week. For this...

Friday, April 8, 2016. An Eric Carle kind of art for Paint Party Friday with our grand Ninja boy! For a couple of days this week our grandson came to spend time with us. He loves to do "art projects" and sometimes I don't know what we'll do until we start doing it! Pretty sweet to see what the finished product became! Below is the picture I made from cut paper. Together we created something inspired by Eric Carle and had fun doing it! And then we moved on to Lego's! Need I say more? What else did we find?
