The Odds: February 2013

http://theoddsare.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html

The odds are good, but the goods are odd: life in a mountain resort town. Tuesday, February 19, 2013. It was Valentine's Day this week, so you know it's been on your mind. I mean it's hard to miss, what with all the Hallmark cards, flower deliveries, chocolate hearts and hand holdin, smoochin, huggin advertisements (please, don't gag on the memory). I've got to admit, I'm not the holiday's biggest fan, but this year, I've fallen. I am in love. Let me tell you. This is when I realized: Me and the Mountain.

The Odds: Snow Dancing in September??

http://theoddsare.blogspot.com/2013/09/snow-dancing-in-september.html

The odds are good, but the goods are odd: life in a mountain resort town. Monday, September 30, 2013. Snow Dancing in September? Example: I totally dig having a bed, regular income, and more than one set of clothes. But, I'm a vagabond at heart, and I recently realized that it has been several months since I have left the Vail Valley. I'm going stir crazy and my roommate Tod is feeling the same way. 8221; I ask. We look at each other. 8220;I give you the key...

The Odds: October 2013

http://theoddsare.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html

The odds are good, but the goods are odd: life in a mountain resort town. Friday, October 25, 2013. It's not a feeling I experience very often and mostly it's because, I wonder, where is home. But reticent to call it home. Yet that is what it is. Like most workers in a mountain ski town, I use the off-season to visit friends and family around the country. I'm fortunate to get to go to some awesome places, and I recently returned from New York. It was a great week. But I was ready to come back. I leave ag...
