On a positive note far fewer homeless people approach us at stop lights asking for change. Sunday, December 21, 2008. Just back from New England for Shaun's interviews and were there during the biggest ice storm they've had in 30 years. It was one of the most beautiful things we have seen with everything covered in a thin layer of ice (apparently not a good thing for power lines).

The Thai Odells (now in NH via Chicago). Wednesday, December 2, 2009. Welch-Dickey Trail (The White Mountains). The name isn't that cool, but the Hike was Amazing. It was listed as a top 10 hike in New England and it did not disappoint. It was about a 4 hour hike and Maisy hiked about 80% of it. Once she discovered how to follow the trail markers ("blazes"), we could hardly keep up with her. We were really happy that we brought the hiking backpack so that we could carry "Sara" up to the top.
