Wednesday, October 2, 2013. Every year for probably my entire life, our family has gone to the lake in September. Luckily when Don and I got married he was very happy to continue that tradition. Now my kids can say the same thing.every year for their entire lives we have gone to Lake Mead in September. This year the tradition continued and as usual, we had a great time. I hope this tradition never ends. :). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). 10 Year Anniversary- Jamaica 2007. Picture of the Week!

The Youngs: December 2012
http://theyoungyoungs.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 17, 2012. The wind is moving at about 400 miles per hour which is why our faces all look a little strange. Eli is so flexible, the wind nearly folded him in half backwards. At first he wasn't sure if he wanted to try it, but once he saw that they were fully in control of the wind he was ready for anything. Donald was really good at it, those long arms and legs really come in handy. There is the birthday boy! I just had to throw this one in of my sister Tina. Her face is classic!

The Youngs: March 2012
http://theyoungyoungs.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 24, 2012. The other day I showed the cupboard door that we refinished to a neighbor, who mentioned that it would look good with a mirror in it. What a great idea! So I found a place that cuts glass and mirror and made my last cupboard door into a mirror for our entry hall. When we first moved in I had no idea what to do with this space,. But now after a year and a half it is finally done. Saturday, March 17, 2012. Tonight was the boys' swim team annual awards banquet. Eli getting his medal.

The Youngs: July 2012
http://theyoungyoungs.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 23, 2012. Last week Eli had cub camp and I was asked to go help out. Here are some of my favorite pictures from our week. This strange little activity they were doing was fish racing. That was Eli's fish Sharky who made it all the way to the finals and then decided to swim in the other direction. I would love to do this with my classes some time if I can ever figure out a way to tie it into something we are learning. Sunday, July 22, 2012. Sunday, July 8, 2012. Thursday, August 1, 2013. I know it has been quite awhile since I have put anything in here. We have just been really busy and any free time I have is used for breathing. Summer is almost over which makes me very sad :(. Here is what we have been up to the last couple months. In June we took a trip to Texas to visit the Boring Bunch. Donald finished his Eagle Project (so glad that is all over). And Kati and I did our first Mud Run! And then spent a week at Junior Olympics. Here is our JO team. View my co...

Tuesday, November 29, 2011. Am I talking about my husband or the cute little table that I convinced him to make me? Maybe both. Recently I saw an adorable table on a blog and the directions to build it so I talked Don into going to Home Depot with me to get the materials (we dragged my brother and sister in law around with us too- thanks for playing guys:). We started with this. And turned it into this. With the final touches it ended up looking like this. I think they turned out pretty good! I love the ...

Sunday, September 30, 2012. It's September, and September to my family means Lake Mead. We have gone every year that I can remember of my whole life. I love this tradition and I love that I can pass it on to my children. Here are this year's best pics. As always we had a blast, wish it lasted longer. See you next year Lake Mead! Monday, September 10, 2012. A Moment 5 years in the Making. This morning, at 10 o'clock, his braces were removed. Yipee! That was the best dentist visit ever. Picture of the Week!

The Youngs: October 2011
http://theyoungyoungs.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 23, 2011. We were re-evaluating our food storage a couple weeks ago and I ran across and entire box of 72 hour kits that I had made sometime at an enrichment activity. The items inside were way past due so I ended up having to just through all of it out. However, once I emptied the cans I thought that there might at least be some good use to those. So I turned them from this. Halloween decorations are my favorite. I also turned a piece of wood into some little pumpkins for my mantle.
