Burnett___Family-O-Rama: July 2006
http://burnettfamilyorama.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 28, 2006. July 28- Sleep Update. Friday, July 28, 2006. Ok, so many of you have asked about how Althea's sleeping is coming. Here's the scoop. Nighttime is much, much. Better. In fact, she has been mostly sleeping through the night the last few days. At this point, the parents are the bigger problem, just making sure she is heading for bed early enough. She still fights going to sleep, but not for long at all, at night. Night all, peace to you,. Friday, July 28, 2006. Just to confirm once ag...

Burnett___Family-O-Rama: June 2006
http://burnettfamilyorama.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 29, 2006. June 29- A Good If Sleepy Day. Thursday, June 29, 2006. Well, we had the best morning yet, with only a little bit of grieving from our darling girl. Our group went on an outing to the countryside today, visiting a rural village that would be similar to the ones our girls most likely came from. It was, of course, pretty primitive, especially the roads! Then we visited an embroidery factory. They have a museum (here's a picture of Althea and her daddy near an old loom), but the...

RONdezvous: July 2010
http://rienstra.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Moderately filtered cogitation and occasional tales of Rienstra-family trials and triumphs. Sunday, July 18, 2010. Since we moved into the new house a few months ago, I have indulged a few lady-of-the-house impulses, such as planting window boxes, buying new dishes, and painting the four-season porch a new color. ("Terrapin green," if you must know. I had to look up what "terrapin" means. Apparently it's a type of turtle. If you're not sure what I mean. For instance, here is the "Yellowstone" chandelier:.

Moderately filtered cogitation and occasional tales of Rienstra-family trials and triumphs. Thursday, June 24, 2010. Alexi Lalas for President. Forgive me for another swooning post about the World Cup. No, I'm not even going to gush about the US win over Algeria yesterday. Although I could. And I'm not ruling out a little love later on. For his personal information or anything. No, I just think he's very very good at what he does. Game after game after game- and they are adding up now, aren't they? When ...

RONdezvous: Miracles and the Heavenly Org Chart
http://rienstra.blogspot.com/2010/05/miracles-and-heavenly-org-chart.html
Moderately filtered cogitation and occasional tales of Rienstra-family trials and triumphs. Sunday, May 23, 2010. Miracles and the Heavenly Org Chart. And now, time for some lousy theology. On Pentecost, of all things. I've been noticing tiny miracles lately, things like finding a parking space when you really need one, or coming across just the quotation you were looking for, or hearing a kind word from someone who doesn't know that you're feeling bummed and discouraged. How does this work? So based on ...

Burnett___Family-O-Rama: Yes! Michigan!
http://burnettfamilyorama.blogspot.com/2009/08/yes-michigan.html
Monday, August 24, 2009. Monday, August 24, 2009. My, but we do grow up fast, don't we? One minute I'm a toddler, the next minute, I'm a bride. Actually, the big news here is our recent trip to Michigan. We went in late July/early August for what we call the Annual Grandparents' Tour. D a good time was had. Hoo boy! I got to play dress up at Papa and Nana's house, where I was treated like a well . . . you know. Here I am with Nana and Papa and Tootsie the cat. We went swimming and played on the beach.

Moderately filtered cogitation and occasional tales of Rienstra-family trials and triumphs. Saturday, April 03, 2010. And You Thought The Earth's Tilt Caused Spring. The ancient world had its explanatory myths for the seasons, but in our house, it's all down to facial hair. Yep, Ron's facial hair. Facial hair and liturgical seasons. Then, on Easter Eve, he gets a haircut and shaves his beard. Next thing you know, I have a brand new husband. and spring arrives! For the brave, here. Posted by Ron Rienstra.

RONdezvous: What I Did This Summer
http://rienstra.blogspot.com/2009/09/what-i-did-this-summer.html
Moderately filtered cogitation and occasional tales of Rienstra-family trials and triumphs. Friday, September 11, 2009. What I Did This Summer. I moved into my new office at work and puttered around happily in there, working on this or that project. And we spent a beautiful week with our dear Theologiggle friends at Lake Michigan. And we drove the children around. And around and around. Therefore, in an attempt to feel as if three months of my life has not floated by uselessly, I present:. A volume of po...

http://rienstra.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Moderately filtered cogitation and occasional tales of Rienstra-family trials and triumphs. Tuesday, April 20, 2010. This past week was AWESOME! Well, for Pip at least it was. At Evergreen, a 'balanced calendar' school, Pip had spring break for two weeks in April. But since the parental units had only one. Awesome activities for the boys. No one was declared winner of that competition, but the boys all agreed it ended up being the best spring break week EVAR. Posted by Ron Rienstra. I realize this fuzzy-...
