A victory for survivors! January 27 and 28, 2011. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) convened the meeting of the Neurological Devices Panel of the Medical Devices Advisory Committee. They were to give recommendations on the shock machine to determine if it should remain a Class III Experimental Device not proven to be safe or effective, or if the shock machine should be down-classified to a Class II Device, rendering it safe and effective.
