Check back occasionally for more updated pieces. Ben was born deaf. At nine months old, his parents elected to have cochlear implant surgery done, and give him the opportunity to hear. I was lucky enough to be allowed in the operating room at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) in Portland. Here is Ben's story. Clients: Polk County Itemizer-Observer, OHSU. To keep my bag weight down, I brought nothing but a P7100- an advanced point and click digital camera. Here are my results.

Hi, I'm Adam! When I'm not behind a camera or my computer, I prefer to be behind a non-fat, no whip mocha in a small little coffee shop while staring at the ocean. Or backpacking; I like that, too. But, I prefer to live behind a camera. As much as possible at least. I went to a pretty good art school, and learned A TON about photography. Some shoots just require more than a photo inside of a portfolio to appreciate them fully. Some have such a powerful story, or require multiple images of the same shoot to get the feel of the atmosphere. Other photo shoots become good studies of a subject, and combining multiple shoots into one spotlight piece makes for good viewing. Enter the Spotlight Gallery. One of the last clear nights of the summer gave me the perfect opportunity to discover the Milky Way recently.
