My Back Door: The Dark Side of Montana
http://my-backdoor.blogspot.com/2010/10/dark-side-of-montana.html
Tuesday, October 26, 2010. The Dark Side of Montana. So, when I was dreaming about our new life in Montana, I was thrilled to wave goodbye to the ghetto. And hello to home-ownership. But apparently, my husband had dreams of a different sort. Give me a second to wipe these tears of pride. In any other state in which we’ve lived, hunting is kinda for rednecks, but here everyone from executives to short-order cooks from McDonald’s. What puzzles me is the inordinate amount of. Why IN THE WORLD do you wear ca...

Tuesday, June 21, 2011. It’s comin’…. Hey, y’all. I’m working on a letter to myself on my High School Graduation Day. Thanks for being patient (as if you have a choice) while I enjoy my children ( and their fighting. Being home this summer. While you’re waiting read. To myself on my wedding day (. My Back Door: October 2011
http://my-backdoor.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 11, 2011. Yes, yes. Hold the applause please. If I were Lindsay Lohan. Y’alled be thrilled to have me back from re-hab. Again. If I were Barbara Streisand. You’d be paying a pretty penny. If I were the Beatles reunion tour. You’d be in some quasi-half-heaven-half-earth arena and probably the age of my parents. But lucky for all of you I am not stoned,. And decidedly not dead. Or even quasi-dead. Though sometimes the bags under my eyes speak otherwise. But I am back. But I persevered, and.

My Back Door: September 2011
http://my-backdoor.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 13, 2011. Want to write a post tonight. Need to fold laundry, do some PTA emails and try to sew buttons on bibs. Would love if this season in my life had ample time for blogging and writing, but it just seems like it doesn’t. I think I’ve written this twice before that I’m slowing down on blogging down to the point that it’s every Wednesday, but it seems be morphing into something a little more sporadic. I know you all have lives and I know I’m not destined to be a famous blogger.

My Back Door: Digits
http://my-backdoor.blogspot.com/2011/09/digits.html
Tuesday, September 6, 2011. Yes, Elvis is back! Sound of spotlight* *, duh. Except I have no flashy jumpsuit and I don’t look bloated. And haven’t had anyone throw their underwear at me…. Uh…this is getting weird. But, hey—thanks for hanging in there and checking back when I faltered to return to bloggy-land. I won’t bore you with all my life goings-on like making new bib/shirts for Katie. Oops…I think I just bored you with the details. Next week, but here is our trip by the numbers:. Kids (ages 9 1/2.

My Back Door: Background Music
http://my-backdoor.blogspot.com/2010/02/background-music.html
Thursday, February 18, 2010. I sometimes wish my life could be a little more like the movies. The lights and paparazzi are unnecessary, but a continuous sound track would be helpful. It would be nice to have ominous music playing. When something bad happens like when I was going too fast on a snowy day and I miraculously avoided colliding with other cars while I spun around. Repeatedly, ending up stranded in high snow drifts in the median. All I knew was that my Dad was leaving me—in a. Pink VW bug. ...

My Back Door: Outside
http://my-backdoor.blogspot.com/2011/02/outside.html
Thursday, February 3, 2011. Lots of people lie. People in college lie. People who run colleges lie. People work in college housing offices. When on the brochure, you read, “We will do everything possible to consider shared interests, study habits and educational focus when assigning roommates to a shared room.”. Does anyone say that anymore? I don’t even say that—why am I writing it? So, when you read that line, please know that they are lying. Lying. Tested out of one. Tested out of most Freshman classes.

My Back Door: High School
http://my-backdoor.blogspot.com/2011/06/high-school.html
Tuesday, June 28, 2011. Ever watched the “Behind the Scenes” under the subheading “Extras” in High School Musical Tres. Of course, you haven’t. . If you have, you must have been looking through our living room window. A few weeks ago and you are a low-life creep. Get some help. And don’t tell anyone what I look like with nappy hair, popcorn peppering my shirt and children laying on my every appendage like the papasan section at Ikea. We’re really growing up. It’s been so amazing! This, well, everything.

These Twenty Toes: Trick-or-Treatin' Season
http://thesetwentytoes.blogspot.com/2010/03/trick-or-treatin-season.html
Sunday, March 14, 2010. The fall is one of my most favorite times. Ryan and Kylee Anne had such a great time painting their little pumpkins this year. I might've enjoyed it just a little bit too. We had a blast doing our trick-or-treatin' with my nieces. We hit all the hot spots in the big city. Have you EVER seen a more adorable Jedi Master or monarch butterfly? I didn't think so! Add a sweet little fairy and a beautiful princess to the mix and you have a perfect Halloween combo. Hillary @ The Other Mama.
