September 23, 2013. 🙂 Find ways to do the same! The one thing that completely blew my mind was how unconservative Japanese people really are for a seemingly conservative nation. I could attribute it to the city I lived in – I lived in a small beach town full of hippies, rebels, surfers and outgoing, chilled, fun people, but the truth is, I discovered how unconservative Japanese people can be even in other prefectures (provinces) throughout my travels. You may ask. Ha ha! 3 Hyaku-en shoppu (100 Yen Shops).

Should you really be eating that? September 23, 2013. September 23, 2013. I’m sure you’ve noticed the global phenomena of people being more health conscious right? Every corner you turn there’s an advertisement or plight urging you to ‘get healthy, eat less or get moving’. One of the many flavours of Japanese Kit Kat bars. Asymp; 1 Comment. Think about it…you deal with numbers every day…. I’ve given MY numbers a lot of thought lately, numbers that have meaning…numbers that define me, my life, my days…. 1…the number of cell phones I’ve destroyed in a fit of rage lately…not the smartest thing I’ve done lately. 3…my immediate family, my two kids and loving husband…I don’t know how in the hell they put up with me but they do. The other side of 33
The other side of 33. February 16, 2007. Five attributes of a complex system. More on the complexity subject. (thanks to Simon, Ando and Courtois, as cited by Booch). This should really be influencing a lot of social science research as well! Frequently, complexity takes on the form of a hierarchy, whereby a complex system is composed of interrelated subsystems that have in turn their own subsystems, and so on, until some lowest level of elementary components is reached. The Other Side of 50
The Other Side of 50. Tuesday, April 18, 2006.
