Tra i quartieri proposti, San Salvario è quello più vicino al centro cittadino e si estende tra la stazione ferroviaria di Porta Nuova, il parco del Valentino e corso Bramante. Il suo nome deriva dall’omonima chiesa e convento che si riferisce direttamente a Gesù, il Salvatore. Inoltre, per gli appassionati al genere, ci sono il museo di antropologia criminale, quello di anatomia umana Luigi Rolando e il museo della frutta-collezione Francesco Garnier Valletti.

Complessi industriali dismessi sono ora centri residenziali. La convivenza tra strutture nuove e strutture più vecchie lo rende un quartiere molto particolare e vivace.
