Shooting Toa Payoh 大巴窯長鏡頭. 我們社區內有一間廟，山門正中懸著「伍合廟」三塊大字，但一旁又有小招牌寫著「大巴窯福德祠」。既然叫福德祠，想當然爾供奉的主神是土地公。本廟規模不小，設有一主殿兩偏殿，怪的是格局只有一進，不像台灣廟宇至少會蓋個拜殿。 昨天傍晚路過，發現一旁空地搭起了帳棚，棚內布置了各式幡旗、布帳、紙紮神祇，入口處掛了張紙寫著「下水聖娘二婆壇」。對面則搭了戲棚。當下便決定晚一點來看野台戲。 到的時候戲已經開演，自己從廟門口拉了張塑膠椅，加入十餘名觀眾的行列。舞台一側有紅紙寫著今晚上演劇目- 但我看不太懂簡體字，只認出秦、夢兩字。 我細聽了會兒這十足陌生的曲牌、語言，開始估量是哪種地方戲。新加坡華人主要來自福建、廣東、海南，故可以合理推測此地野台戲不脫這三省範圍。福建可以先排除，因為演員唸的不是福建話，曲調也跟歌仔戲差異很大。那麼是粵劇嗎？ 屬於農業社會的野台戲，在高度現代化的新加坡竟能苟活至今，可謂奇蹟，只是，它還能傳唱多久？ 我承認這裡的居住環境非常舒適，公共設施完善體貼，幾乎無可挑剔(相較之下，我住過多年的永和老公寓ʌ...大學剛畢業時在大賣場買了個熨斗...
