The Reid Plan: Development Update 8/27/2007
http://thereidplan.blogspot.com/2007/08/development-update-8272007.html
To share my vision for Milwaukee. And report on on going development in Milwaukee. Tuesday, August 07, 2007. A quick update on some of the projects around Milwaukee. First off, I noticed on the Beerline that the construction office is now in place for the Riverboat Landing Condos. Hopefully that is the first step before demolition can begin. Once complete I believe this project will continue to add vibrancy to the riverwalk with new its population and the mixed-use design that includes a restaurant.

Wandering Urbanist: 07.2010
http://mylrt.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Roaming cities and urban places, with rural interludes. Spending most of the year in Eugene, Oregon, summering in the 'burbs of Austin, Texas. It's also a lot harder to keep in shape; when living in Eugene, I could just ride my bike around town, exploring, or going shopping; here, the only roads are two-lane highways with 60 mph speed limits, which I'm a bit wary of biking on. In point, there are days I can't wait to go back to school. I'm bored out of my mind here. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Wandering Urbanist: Update from Eugene

Roaming cities and urban places, with rural interludes. Spending most of the year in Eugene, Oregon, summering in the 'burbs of Austin, Texas. Decided to update the blog; been a bit of a long hiatus recently due to moving to Eugene, Oregon to attend the University of Oregon and major in Architecture, with architecture studio being a lot of the reason for having so little time to blog. Spending multiple all-nighters working on models is not a conducive environment to write in. Yes on Sound Transit 3.

Wandering Urbanist: Progress on Austin Urban Rail?
http://mylrt.blogspot.com/2009/10/progress-on-austin-urban-rail.html
Roaming cities and urban places, with rural interludes. Spending most of the year in Eugene, Oregon, summering in the 'burbs of Austin, Texas. Progress on Austin Urban Rail? Looks like Austin might be just a little bit closer to voting on the City's urban rail project, which unlike MetroRail, will actually garner ridership, as it connects three of the main employment centers in Austin: UT, the Capitol, and Downtown, with some of the northern inner-city neighborhoods. And that's just in the first phase.

Austin’s urban rail loss boosts push for new light rail Plan B | Urban Rail Today

Moving forward with light rail transit, streetcars, regional passenger rail. Austin’s urban rail loss boosts push for new light rail Plan B. Proposed alternative Plan B for Austin’s Guadalupe-Lamar corridor would also have branch serving re-purposed Seaholm power plant site and Amtrak station. Graphic: Project Connect. Counterintuitive though it may seem, this was not only a huge success for transit advocacy. But also a major victory for rail development in Austin. Not only was it a seriously flawed route.
