Our Heritage: UK Trip Day #5--Bunree Breakfast, County of Fife: Elie, Anstruther, and St. Andrews

http://www.thepackplacehistory.blogspot.com/2013/12/uk-trip-day-5-fife-anstruther-crail-st.html

UK Trip Day #5- Bunree Breakfast, County of Fife: Elie, Anstruther, and St. Andrews. We wake in our first B and B near Dunfermline to the delightful best-breakfast-presentation of our entire stay. Yum! Scotch porridge served with a berry and individual honey and cream. Ben looks happy with his blueberries. Favorite haggis (from Stornoway) and black pudding rounds. Paired with perfect poached eggs. There's a real chef at work here! Who's for "finan Haddie" this morning? Who's claiming the catch here?

Our Heritage: UK Trip Day 1 -- Air Travel, Crawford's in Harpenden, Woburn Abbey

http://www.thepackplacehistory.blogspot.com/2013/10/welcome-to-history-of-alison-turner-pack.html

UK Trip Day 1 - Air Travel, Crawford's in Harpenden, Woburn Abbey. Roger, Ben, Chris and Alison took a trip to the UK in May 2013. Here is a blog of their adventures with a little history. Even after booking flights separately, all of us were able to fly to the UK together. As you all know, it can be an arduous journey. The sun sets and rises when crossing over land and sea. Are we excited or what? So far so good. Not looking so good (note: the people behind Chris had. Waiting in line for customs. Crawfo...

Our Heritage: UK Trip Day 2 -- London (Harrods, Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Tower of London)

http://www.thepackplacehistory.blogspot.com/2013/11/uk-trip-day-2.html

UK Trip Day 2 - London (Harrods, Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Tower of London). Our second day in England we set aside for London. We signed up for a bus tour pass that would conveniently and quickly show us around the city. There was a lot of ground to cover so we didn't see very much in depth, but it was nice being chauffeured around and experiencing the sights and sounds of London town. Can you guess where we are? The bobbies' helmets are great! St Pancras train station in all its splendor.

UK Trip Day #6- Pitlochry, gateway to the Highlands; Golspie, Sutherland (by way of Inverness). We settled in Pitlochry, Perthshire, for the night on our way to and from the Highlands. Sharp-looking Pitlochry B&B for Chris and Ben. Attractive welcome to Rosehill B&B. Now this is more like the Highlands! Our rental car puts on more miles by the ubiquitous yellow gorse. The second half of Alison's tour began with her childhood home in Golspie, Sutherland, in northern Scotland. It's a wee bit breezy today!

The Pack Place: November 2011

http://thepackplace.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html

Friday, November 4, 2011. Last summer, we decided to go to Young's Jersey Dairy. I took some videos and photographs there. There was a tractor there that we could sit on and pretend to drive. There was a petting zoo, with goats and chickens. There was also a huge slide. That's me, Brent, and Kenneth. There was a golf course (Gregory looks so cute! Brent had a coupon for his birthday and got a giant ice-cream cone. I just turned twelve about two weeks ago and I'm in young women! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Sunday, February 10, 2013. The Family Journal, February 2013. Looks like we may keep Brandon and Carrie here, at least for now. Carrie's boss gave her an offer she couldn't resist (an unheard-of 21% raise), reflective of the capital service she is giving in her department. Carrie enjoys the wonderful new outlet stores at Traverse Mountain just up the road, too. Joseph likes to talk about serious stuff. He knows all about what to do if you meet a stranger.
