Working in Palpa Nepal. The Palpa Trust, set up in 2010, helps many rural schools in Palpa, Nepal, whether the need is for teachers' salaries, structural improvements, sports equipment, books for libraries and other neccessities. The Trust uses funds for those needing medical assistance. Drinking water projects are undertaken for both communities and schools. Registered with the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator - charity number SC041300.

Working in Palpa Nepal. This district lies south west of Kathmandu and is set in beautiful green hills, dotted with small villages which means that there are also many rural schools. The locations of these habitations are idyllic, many of them commanding extensive views of the Himalayan range, but often devoid of services. The district town is Tansen, a hill town at 1,350m, which affords fine views of the forested hills, cultivated valleys, fast flowing rivers and the ever present white mountains.

Working in Palpa Nepal. Project reports December 2015. 2015 was a terrible year for Nepal. Firstly there was the devastating earthquake on April 25th centred on Gorkha followed by the massive aftershock on May 12th centred a little to the east of Kathmandu. Fortunately Palpa was spared the worst of these quakes but these disasters affected every Nepali. This small school is currently not running classes due to a drop in children of the appropriate age.
