Because everyone looks better in plaid! Wednesday, September 15, 2010. Good-bye, long hair! We are so proud of our Preppy Girl! She has been growing her hair since about kindergarten. Not really even sure why, exactly - we grew her bangs out, and then it just started from there! We've had the ends trimmed a few times in the past two years, but that's been about it. Over the summer, she decided that she wanted to cut her hair.SHORT! My good friend and stylist, Amy, did the honors! Look at all that hair!

Because everyone looks better in plaid! Tuesday, May 20, 2008. In the kitchen with velcro monkey. So I saw some fresh cherries at the grocery store, and thought they looked really good. My kids are very good eaters (Andrew's allergy issues aside.) but I'm always looking for different, healthy foods for them to try. The sign above the cherries said something like $3.49/lb, so I grabbed a bag, thinking no way is this more than a pound. Let me see, Mommy - let me see! With a toddler hanging off my leg!

He has always loved books, loved to read, play games, and things like that. He hasn't really been much into coloring or drawing. Elizabeth, on the other hand, was born with a hot pink crayon in her hand! She LOVES to draw, and has since an early age. Even before she could really write, she'd scribble squiggly lines on paper, like she was writing a real sentence! So precious to see...

They have a small lake in their backyard, complete with a little beach for swimming, and a dock for fishing! The weather was great, and the kids had a wonderful time! I wasn't sure how my "city kids" would like swimming in the lake (they typically avoid getting their feet dirty! But they loved it! Thanks for tuning in.
