Accretion is the process of small objects clumping together to form larger objects, gasses clump together and grow to become stars, rocks and heavy elements clump together to form planets. Scientists tell us that all the matter that makes up our planets was created from an exploding star. It seems impossible to me that matter scattering out in all directions from an exploding star at great velocities, could be captured by another star, form a disk and accrete into planets.
