Sunday, January 12, 2014. Recently I went through all our photos from the past year- getting them organized, edited and printed to put in albums. The kiddos loved looking at all the pictures of themselves and reliving memories. It's astonishing to me how quickly I'd forgotten some of our little adventures, the silly things the kids used to do, and just how much they've grown in a year! So in honor of nostalgia and reviving this little blog, here are a few gems from 2013. A broken arm, big shoes, a new mi...

Tuesday, May 31, 2011. Day Four. Today I'm grateful for. Not having to cook when I'm pregnant and tired. The sweetest nurses in the world. My sweet husband who will sleep (or not sleep) on a fold-out cot two feet wide just so I'm not lonely all night. Modern medicine and proficient doctors. Did I say netflix? The opportunity to be a mother. And, all those who have and do serve our country. Sunday, May 29, 2011. I've been given doctor's approval to get out of bed to shower. Even with all the positives, I ...

Sunday, April 22, 2012. Looks like I have some competition. As we were getting ready for church this morning, Maddi watched Micah put on his tie and said this:. You're so handsome, Dad. I like your hair. It's so-o cute. Sorry kiddo. He's taken. But you can be his next best girl. Sunday, April 1, 2012. He managed to burn through our entire insurance deductible and out-of-pocket maximum in his first three weeks of life (thank you, dear husband, for working at an insurance company where we get good benefits).

Friday, May 25, 2012. I had a moment this morning. One of those moments where everything is just right and good, even though nothing extraordinary is happening. Maddi was helping me make waffles and Graysen was happily smashing banana in his highchair, and all was quiet and content. Sometimes I wonder how my life would be different if I had an important high-profile job, or got to travel with my husband to fancy places, or could go get a masters degree, or get involved full time in a cause like this.

Monday, February 28, 2011. But we're not telling. :). We want to know what you think, first. Cast your votes (poll on sidebar), and stay tuned! Tuesday, February 22, 2011. Disclaimer: This is one of those for-the-family-record posts. Feel free to skip it. Unless, of course you think my kid is as awesome and interesting as I do. I recently went back and read this post. About Madison's 18 month mark. Boy oh boy, how much she's changed in just 6 months! For one, now she has some real, honest-to-goodness hair.

Michelle and Dan: No Excuses!
http://michelleanddanmorgan.blogspot.com/2012/03/no-excuses.html
Wednesday, March 21, 2012. Well It's been a whirlwind of fun for us over the last 5 months. I really can not believe what we have done. WARNING this is a long post but fun! For Thanksgiving Dan's sister Lovey and her husband Andrew with there new bundle of joy, Ashton, came here from Louisville Kentucky. It was really awesome to have them here for those few days and to finally meet Ashton. He is one chunky kid, but it's expected his father is incredible tall. One ride that they have transformed was "Mr t...

Sunday, February 2, 2014. I introduced the Littles to a classic this week. M: Mom, is Mr. Rogers real? Me: He was a real person, but he's not alive any more. Me: Well, he got really sick, and then he died. M: So (long pause) (audible gasp) I will get to meet him in Heaven? We're looking forward to it, Mr. Rogers. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). mkmg: October 2010
http://micahandkaty.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 31, 2010. Last Halloween, Madison wore a long sleeve onesie, leg warmers and a big puffy coat over her costume. And we didn't even go out trick or treating- that was just for the walk from the house to the car on our way to a party. Lucky for us, Halloween this year was a balmy 78 degrees. Even after dark. There's a good reason to love Texas! And once she spied the blow-up bouncy castle at our church "trunk or treat," she lost all interest in walking around asking for goodies. Happy 27, y...
