As part of his leadership training, Matt took a huge business trip to Chicago. He was gone for ten days! It's definitely the longest he's been away from Brisco. We also calculated that it was the longest we've been apart, since we were married. We missed him so much! So thankful for family and friends. They kept us really busy!

January 27, 2009. He started right at New Year's with some serious encouragement from his Aunt Tiffy. He's riding a big toy cow that he got from his Bible Class teacher, Ms.Erin, at Silver City. It was her daughter's toy who has outgrown it now. He's a real "cowboy". Way to go Jack! What a big boy! He is so cute!

Brisco dressed-up as our little sailor on Easter Sunday. He was NOT interested in taking pictures by the pretty flowers. My favorite.He was really letting out a wail! The boys shucked oysters.very hard work and so delicious! Brisco's 2nd birthday cake: He shared with Great-Grandpa! Brisco preferred to eat his cake with a fork.

Matt and I had our first overnight without Brisco in July. While in Grand Rapids, we spent the day at the Frederik Meyer Gardens and Sculpture Park. The gardens were so beautiful. Of course we wished we would have had Brisco with us. He would have loved the children's garden! We saw the most amazing orchid garden. We could have sat at the Koi pond for hours! Christ...

We went to visit family in Arkansas. He did great on the plane. He slept most the way. He also loved looking out the window. We had tons of fun visiting with family. Brisco loved banging Granna and GiGi's kitchen cabinets. Eden showed off her Cinderella nightgown. All the Great-Grands ate at JoJo's house one afternoon.

At Brisco's birthday party, we discovered that he is a major fan of the Motley Que barbeque pork. When the Motley Que Crew entered the 2011 Auburn Hills Barbeque Cook-Off, we were so thrilled to be invited to hang at their tent! It was the state championship barbeque cook-off! Dom joined Brisco at the event. They had a blast. It was a long, fun day!
