Changing the World: One Foot In Front Of The Other
http://changelivesnow.blogspot.com/2008/07/one-foot-in-front-of-other.html
Experiences chronicled by a therapist for children on the autism spectrum. Wednesday, July 2, 2008. One Foot In Front Of The Other. How happy she had been just to walk independently to the building in strong rain to use the restroom? If Miri was able to do one foot in front of the other, can't the rest of us? Shouldn't we also be so appreciative of simple things like being able to use the bathroom on our own? Firstly it is so nice to see you blogging again. I missed you. July 4, 2008 at 1:21 PM. All the wrong answers to Life's hardest questions. Sunday, September 24, 2006. If i could just cut my head off. To relieve this pounding head-ache. And every time i turn around. The world turns with me. Now i can't seem to find my way out of this ever spinning room. I've come to call my home. And i've reduced myself to spouting emo-goth crap again. Because i'm too fucked up to take my meds (God damn them to hell). Is it that i'm so screwed up that i've become the hypocrite i've always hated? Rude and noi...

Experiences chronicled by a therapist for children on the autism spectrum. Wednesday, March 19, 2008. Sorry this has dragged on forever, but I'm finally finding the time to post the end of Ben's story so that I can move on to others. Thank you all for your patience! Gift in tow, I arrived to the house. I didn't let it hit me that this was my last session with Ben because OF COURSE I'd keep in touch, and all that. I can't find him! Beeeen, where are you? I am getting sad! I want to play with my Benny!

Sharing the whistlings on my mind. Friday, September 22, 2006. The Erev Rosh HaShannah Edition. It seems like I only post on Fridays. It's not that Fridays are slower than any other day, but the end of the week brings more gathered thoughts, and recently, a wistful feeling and a desire to be wise. This Friday is no exception. Especially because tonight is Rosh HaShannah. What am I davening for this year? 1 General peace in the world, including:. All that good stuff. Jewish People related things:. Yesterd...

Sharing the whistlings on my mind. Tuesday, September 11, 2007. OK - work with me here. How on earth could anyone come up with a plot which involves crashing airplanes into buildings? I mean, how does anyone even THINK of something like that? If you would take a poll among terrorists about what evil plot they are daydreaming about, those plots might involve hijacking planes and they might involve blowing up buildings, but I don't think the 2 for 1 combo was high on anyone's list before 9/11/01.

Inner Music: October 2006

Sharing the whistlings on my mind. Friday, October 13, 2006. I love Simchat Torah. It is perhaps my favorite holiday of the whole year. When they start reciting "Atah hareitah la-daat." in the familiar tune, I get a chill down my back. Ve-zot ha-Berachah is my favorite parsha. I have it memorized! It always surprises people when they hear that Simchat Torah is my favorite holiday, espcially as Simchat Torah isn't known for being a particularly woman friendly holiday. I will be spending yom tov this year ...

This may be read or not as any one pleases." -Benjamin Franklin. Monday, December 12, 2011. You pull all the books off the library shelves. You sprawl on the floor, then jump up and. Turn a chair on its head,. You hug other children until you topple them over,. You roll up the rug, then you roll yourself. Until I scoop you up,. Put you on my lap,. And say, "Look at me, look at me,". Look at me," I say. You're being very wild," I say. Are you even listening? Your blood gushing like a rushing little brook.
