Newer posts →. Diwali – The festival of lights. Growing up, Diwali meant lighting lamps (diyas), a lot of family visits, loads of sweets, and yummy food. Thanks to being in a country where fireworks were banned, I would always be envious of my cousins back in India who got to celebrate Diwali in all its fanfare, i.e, bursting crackers. That was the last time we ‘celebrated’ Diwali…. I haven’t seen this guy since yesterday morning; yup people start with all ‘celebrations’ days in advance. I know I said.
