It was more than a month ago now that Brandon and I took an adventure I never thought I'd take - deer hunting in Eastern Washington. Wednesday, May 18, 2011. Last week I checked out Julia Child's cookbook, "Mastering the Art of French Cooking," from the library. When in France cook as the French do, right? This morning I made omelets, Julia Child style. swirl, swirl, jerk, jerk. I made 3. One was a little overdone, one a little underdone, and one was perfection! Tonight I went for the big league. Tuesday, March 29, 2011. Wow, what a tough week. On Thursday we said goodbye to Grandma Bertha Bratt. 91 years of loving and being loved by her family. We love and miss her. And unexpectedly, on Monday we also said goodbye to my Aunt Cheryl. This has been very hard for all of us. She went from well to gravely ill in just a few days. We will all miss her so much. If you are a praying person, please pray for Jim and their kids (Peter and Cristy are in college, Jonny is in high school).

In the last couple weeks the pool has been in swimming condition, so although the temps were not ideal for swimming, we have enjoyed the cold water a couple times. Monday, November 11, 2013. We are all ready for the guest to arrive! Which of course was about 12 adults and only three other children). I am not sure what it was that was so frightening. Maybe the volume of the singing or the fire of the candle? Most of the gifts he received were Thomas! He and Zoe have already spent hours with the many Thomas items :). This face is the "choo choo" sound. We also made cupcakes for him to share at Linda's. He obviously didn't mind the singing at Linda's.
