The Peppered Goat

Friday, May 29, 2015. I must really like orange binding. I finally finished my Cheer quilt from {insert random mumbling here} with orange binding and I bought this orange fabric to finish another Cheer quilt. It feels good to finally have a completely finished quilt to send off. I'm looking forward to getting the others done very, very soon, so that I can move on to other projects, guilt free. What other projects you say? One out of necessity, and one out of desperation. Desperation on so many levels.

The Peppered Goat: Forward Progress

http://www.thepepperedgoat.blogspot.com/2015/04/forward-progress.html

Friday, April 10, 2015. I'm finally feeling like I'm on track again. I managed to squeeze at least half a year's worth of sewing into a day. It was so very therapeutic. I still have a long way to go but at least I'm on the right road again :-). Here's my updated list. 3 Star quilt (just need to finish binding). 4 Green quilt (top is done! 5 Shirts for my boys. 6 Poppy skirts (Wizard of Oz play). 7 Glenda dress (Wizard of Oz). 8 Munchkin shorts (Wizard of Oz). 9 Munchkin shirts (Wizard of Oz).

The Peppered Goat: Living Joyfully

http://www.thepepperedgoat.blogspot.com/2015/05/living-joyfully.html

Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Live joyfully. That's my mantra lately. It's hard to actually do though. Especially when everyone else seems so, not. Wow, I'm such a downer today. Sorry about that. It feels good to vent just a little bit though. Let's move on to actual joyful things, shall we? First, THE LIST. I'm feeling great about that. The Wizard of Oz is over! We all survived and nobody had to go on stage nekked, so it's basically win-win. The difference between naked and nekked, you ask? 5 Shirts for my boys.

The Peppered Goat: March 2015

http://www.thepepperedgoat.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html

Friday, March 27, 2015. Upheaved. That's how I feel today. I was already so busy and then Mama asked to move in. How could I say no? I think I underestimated how time consuming it would be to have her here. And how demanding she would be. She needs to have everything done RIGHT NOW. It's getting better. We're settling into our routines and getting used to living with each other. Still. It's been a more difficult adjustment than I expected. 2 March Bee Blocks. 3 Star quilt (just need to finish binding).

http://southernfriedgoodness.blogspot.com/2006/03/le-clapotis-n-m-lapping-act-of-winding.html

Sometimes sweeter than mama's iced tea, sometimes more bitter than a collard green, always hot and juicy like good fried chicken. Friday, March 03, 2006. Le clapotis, n. m., lapping: the act of winding around or swathing. This may well bore you to tears, but this post is really mostly for me, so i can remember the experience of whipping out this clapotis in 16 days for the knitting olympics and how hard it was! Yarn: 2.6 skeins of a.l. de sauveterre's estelle. 100% cashmere, sportweight). February 21: kn...

The Peppered Pantry

Friday, September 23, 2011. Toffee Chip Shortbread Cookies. Wednesday, September 21, 2011. This year we got a box of Yakima's Princess peaches and we decided to try freezing them the way Michelle's dad had last year. So thanks to Michelle's dad and Google;). Some of the best peaches ever! Cut 'em in half and pit 'em. Throw 'em in 1 can of orange juice concentrate-thawed. You can add a bit of water if you want. But the peaches were pretty juicy on their own. Make sure to toss well to coat all with the OJ.

The Peppered Peony - Good food, good junk, funny families, and a little wicked chit chat

Good food, good junk, funny families, and a little wicked chit chat. Let’s Stay in Touch. It’s All About Me! May day baskets…. May 1, 2015. As I was swishing through stories of weekend plans, senior pictures and the “like” on my FB feed this morning I ran across this photo. The happiness in this photo is just overwhelming, am I right?
