Bits N Pieces
http://collagemedia.blogspot.com/2009/06/this-was-my-first-attempt-at-assemblage.html
Friday, June 12, 2009. This was my first attempt at an "assemblage", a collage that incorporates three dimensional items. The various spoons, photos, jewelry, etc were in drawers and I enjoy them much more now that they are on view in my office. I used a copy of a letter that my grandmother wrote to me as part of the backgound collage. Never use the precious originals! Posted by CutNPaste Diva. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Bits N Pieces: October 2009
http://collagemedia.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 4, 2009. I am writing this from my cottage in the woods where I have sent the summer relaxing and enjoying the natural beauty of the lakes, rivers, trees and flowers and taking lots of photos which should provide a winter's worth of inspiration. Fall is in the air now and the trees are in their autumn spendor. Posted by CutNPaste Diva. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Ocala, Florida, United States. I love photography, digital imagery and collage. WordMarrow: where's the f** in church?
http://amykopecky.blogspot.com/2010/04/wheres-f-in-church.html
Where's the f* in church? We've been in an odd season in our church recently. The words "disillusioning", "hopeful", "frustrating" and "confusing" also come to mind. I haven't been able to write about it, which is another oddity because I'm usually able to work through my thoughts better when I write them down. You may worship with them and pray with them, but. Do you hang out with them outside of church "meetings"? Do you go to them for advice? Do you eat together? We have both been in a few different c...

Today's Obsession: Photoshop Actions
http://myobsessiontoday.blogspot.com/2010/02/photoshop-actions.html
Monday, February 22, 2010. I got PSE8 for my birthday and have finally installed some actions. Here's how they work: You find them online and download them into Photoshop. Then they appear in your styles and effects palette. They save a ton of time! For example, say I'm starting with this photo:. I can also change the color of just the shirt by selecting with the magic wand and desaturating:. They have actions for creating vignettes, retouching portraits, selective color, making pics look antique, etc.

Today's Obsession: August 2010
http://myobsessiontoday.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 18, 2010. In an earlier post, I showed you the Photoshopped mock-ups I made for the kids to approve their bedroom designs. Here's how my daughter's room turned out:. The carpet was originally blue. We dyed it purple. Thank goodness I only needed to paint half the wall, because that pink took at least 5 coats! That's what I get for buying cheap paint. She loves her new room and calls this her princess bed. 3. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Random Bits of Thought. Before you have kids.

Today's Obsession: October 2009
http://myobsessiontoday.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 29, 2009. This week, I've been backing up my photos and organizing my albums. I love albums with a spot for a photo on the front cover. For our Thanksgiving album, I didn't use a regular photo. Instead, I grabbed a Norman Rockwell painting, lowered the opacity, and topped with some wordart. Monday, October 26, 2009. The kids' birthday albums are officially up to date! Today I worked on my Mother's Day album. Here's the page for 2008:. Sunday, October 25, 2009. Monday, October 19, 2009.

Today's Obsession: Prepping photos for framing
http://myobsessiontoday.blogspot.com/2010/02/prepping-photos-for-framing.html
Thursday, February 18, 2010. Prepping photos for framing. I wanted to frame my kids' recent school photos in the 4x6 frames I'd recently bought. Here's the original pic of my son:. The problem was that they weren't the right proportion and I didn't want to crop them. To solve the problem, I stole a page from the digital scrapbooking book. I opened a 4x6 document in Photoshop and covered it with a patterned digital scrapbooking paper. Then, I plopped the photo down on top of it. And the 4x6 version:.

http://collagemedia.blogspot.com/2009/06/layout-for-photo-based-collage.html
Friday, June 12, 2009. Layout for a photo-based collage. I have been taking photos of lobster pots during summers "Down East" and thought they would make a nice collage. I took several photos of the layout process. The final collage didn't work for me but I learned a lot. Posted by CutNPaste Diva. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Ocala, Florida, United States.
