Jessalynn's Blog: Blondes Have More Fun
http://jessalynnsblog.blogspot.com/2008/02/blondes-have-more-fun.html
Sunday, February 24, 2008. Blondes Have More Fun. After working an always exciting 8 hour shift at good ol' Linens N Things. I heard an interesting comment from my good ol' manager who is always full of great comments. While our relatively new employee from Russia was busy drooling over some tall, brunette with giant, fake boobs, my manager decided he was going to give him a quick "run down" of American "chics.". Tuesday, January 29, 2008. So, how do you know him anyways? Barry and I grew up together, our dad’s both being members of the fire hall. Though there were 4 ½ years between us, we still knew what was going on with each other because of our moms being such good friends. On day in August, I was down at the fire hall and Barry was down there, as were some of the other guys. Somehow the conversation led to us exchanging numbers. The first place we went together was the bar at #3 fire hall for some drinks.

http://jessalynnsblog.blogspot.com/2008/03/is-there-advantage-for-being-blonde.html
Monday, March 3, 2008. Is there an advantage for being blonde? Written for the business section of. The New York Times. That had an interesting viewpoint of blondes. And stereotypes. The writer, Robert H. Frank made an interesting argument saying that stereotypes stem from the academic choices made by blondes. Than from any innate differences in mental ability.". This is an interesting point to make but I think that. Made an interesting point as well. This article discussed the fact that blonde.

Jessalynn's Blog: Will a journalist do anything for a story?
http://jessalynnsblog.blogspot.com/2008/03/will-journalist-do-anything-for-story.html
Monday, March 17, 2008. Will a journalist do anything for a story? I recently read an interesting stereotype that was mentioned in my Media Ethics text book entitled. Media Ethics: Issues and Concerns. In chapter 6, the book mentioned a common stereotype that many people hold: a journalist will do anything to get a story. Anchor Brian Williams discussed the fact that even though NBC. I think that people often times pass judgement before thinking deeper into stories and their deliverance from a journalist...

Friday, January 25, 2008. Media Ethics: Issues and Cases. Monday, January 21, 2008. Stereotypes in the reality TV. Tried out for The Real World and it shocked me having the sign a peice of paper saying that I agreed to have a different name during the course of the show if I were to be chosen. I didn't make it and I guess it was for the best. Who knows what stereotype I could have been transformed into for the sake of entertainment. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Jessalynn's Blog: Librarian by day...Bacardi by night...
http://jessalynnsblog.blogspot.com/2008/04/librarian-by-daybacardi-by-night.html
Sunday, April 6, 2008. Librarian by day.Bacardi by night. I continued browsing through the Internet to find interesting advertisements that promoted stereotypes. The first one that I found was of a woman who is a librarian by day and "Bacardi by night." I think that advertisements like this don't help the common stereotypes and misconceptions that people have not only toward librarians, but blondes, truckers and many others. Alcohol next to her. Need I say more. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Jessalynn's Blog: Trojan Condoms...
http://jessalynnsblog.blogspot.com/2008/04/trojan-condoms.html
Sunday, April 6, 2008. Recently, I found an advertisement featuring a bar full of pigs with women with their noses turned up to them. The only man who has a beautiful woman with him has a Trojan condom. This may be "wrong" of me to think, but I think that the sad truth is that there. Women who will give a man a chance if they have a condom. Perhaps many stereotypes are rooted from reality. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Stereotypes within video games.
