The Bergman Bunch: May 2010
http://bergmanbunch.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Chris Eva Gracie Joe Tucker Maya. Sunday, May 30, 2010. The Puppy Chronicles; Head of the Class. Maya finished obedience class without getting kicked out! And my rotator cuffs are still intact which is almost more unbelievable! As a matter of fact, she placed forth in her class with an impressive two minute "stay and down" at the other side of the arena with distractions! This may not sound all that great, but LET ME TELL YOU. this took work! What is a pinch collar, you may ask? Judge if you will. She lo...

The Bergman Bunch: April 2009
http://bergmanbunch.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Chris Eva Gracie Joe Tucker Maya. Sunday, April 5, 2009. Kidney stones and Tooth Fairies. What a busy winter! I hadn't posted for such a long time because I was having issues with posting pictures on the blog, which-hopefully-I have now resolved. One of Gracie's highlights was the "Father Daughter Ball" at school which is a great excused to get prettied-up. Her and her friend Jenna even had their nails done! Gracie really wanted to add these pink flowers to her hair and dress. So we did.

Chris Eva Gracie Joe Tucker Maya. Friday, February 20, 2009. Rosy cheeks and Valentines. Sunday, February 8, 2009. These days our days are filled with school, of course, but also Girl Scouts, Sonseekers. Skiing lessons and swim lessons- and that's just Gracie! It's a good thing Daddy came with- there were bodies everywhere. Icicle lives outside the school. Joe can always stop swimming long enough to pose for a picture. Gracie started using the diving board. good job, Gracie! Kids say the darnest things.

The Bergman Bunch: The Puppy Chronicles: Lots to Learn
http://bergmanbunch.blogspot.com/2010/02/puppy-chronicles-lots-to-learn.html
Chris Eva Gracie Joe Tucker Maya. Saturday, February 13, 2010. The Puppy Chronicles: Lots to Learn. Love puppy class. It's quite a trek up to the training center and sometimes, at the end of the day, the last thing I want to do is get in the car and drive in the dark through the deer-infested countryside. But once I'm there, I'm always glad. I always learn something new about the doggie. Hardly even causes a blink in my huge bear-dog. I whine to the instructor, "What if I can't snap hard enough? Another ...

The Bergman Bunch: January 2010
http://bergmanbunch.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Chris Eva Gracie Joe Tucker Maya. Thursday, January 28, 2010. The Puppy Chronicles; First Day of School. E've always known that Maya will need obedience training before she becomes a huge, unruly bear dog. I just didn't know if I could bring myself to drive 35-40 minutes back into town after work for the class at Twin Ports Dog Training. Chris generously agreed to take her to training, though, so I filled out the forms and mailed in my check. Then he remembered. My crankiness didn't last long. I was hope...

The Bergman Bunch: March 2010
http://bergmanbunch.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Chris Eva Gracie Joe Tucker Maya. Saturday, March 13, 2010. The Puppy Chronicles; Puffy Puppy. Learned a lot about hip dysplasia. Since Maya was given that diagnosis last month. More specifically, I've been reassured by many people who have dogs with this affliction that our big gal can potentially live a normal, pain-free and long life. There is no way to know for sure how her hips will hold up, but we think that- given her high pain threshold and her fancy schmancy. Until her first dose. To put any hum...

The Bergman Bunch: The Puppy Chronicles; Terrible Twos
http://bergmanbunch.blogspot.com/2010/05/puppy-chronicles-terrible-twos.html
Chris Eva Gracie Joe Tucker Maya. Saturday, May 1, 2010. The Puppy Chronicles; Terrible Twos. Maya doesn't do anything that any other puppy doesn't do. All those behaviors are pretty normal puppy traits. Unfortunately, her size makes all these things, well, super. Looks like you have your hands full! When it comes to dogs, it's more along the lines of, "That's one big dog! Or "She's gonna be huge! Why, thank you. That had, actually, occurred to me, but if you want to inform me that my Newfoundland is...

The Bergman Bunch: December 2009
http://bergmanbunch.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Chris Eva Gracie Joe Tucker Maya. Monday, December 21, 2009. The Puppy Chronicles; Cry Baby. They cry for their mommy. I carried Gracie in my arms, on my hip, on my back, or in a snuggli. On my chest pretty much for her first year of life. If I didn't, pitiful, heartbreaking wailing would ensue. Now, before you offer your parenting advice on letting babies cry it out or " Ferberization. Which, roughly translated, means ". I'm lonely. Please come back! I'm just the lucky one, I guess. So I sprayed him.
