Saturday, February 4, 2012. Little did I know. Up until now, I've posted mainly about travel related topics or things we've done in Fresno or something new I've tried (like my unfinished 30 x 30 list! But these past five weeks have taken me on a different kind of journey, a destination I've never seen the likes of nor could have fully imagined without having traveled it on my own. This journey began in the wee hours of the morning on December 30 when I first gazed at the sweet face of my son. For the fir...

Jeremy and I were smokin’ hot; Jeremy in his dapper suit, and I in my sexy little dress and heels that absolutely kill my feet! After dinner we headed downtown to the William Saroyan Theatre. This particular performance featured guest pianist, Orli Shaham. Playing Frederic Chopin’s. Posted by Kristin Berquist.

Monday, July 18, 2011. Project Roasting, accomplished! I've long held this crazy fear of roasting a whole chicken. I know to all those seasoned cooks out there, roasting a chicken is probably a standard part of Cooking 101, but to me it was a new culinary experience. I was intimidated by the entire process, from pulling the disgusting gizzard gunk out of the raw bird to ensuring that the meat was cooked all the way through without drying it out. Thursday, March 24, 2011. Jeremy and I returned earlier this week from a three-day trip to Seattle, WA. Aside from frequent layovers in SeaTac airport when flying home to Canada, neither of us ever spent time exploring the city. It always seemed like it would be a perfect weekend getaway. Indeed it was. At 520’ above the city, the Seattle Space Needle. And were thankful for the miraculous lack of rain that weekend. The Experience Music Sound l Science Fiction Museum. Exhibit. Wednesday, October 12, 2011. Turning 30: It's not so bad after all! Well, the big 3-0 has come and gone and left me feeling.pretty much the same as I did on October 17! In fact, it was a splendid birthday; a day full of kind wishes, thoughtful presents, and expressions of love. And the celebrations will continue with a dinner date tonight as well as a Mad Men cocktail party Jeremy is throwing me at the end of the month! I'd say that turning 30 was a complete success! 2 eat breakfast on the beach. 23 leav...
