Mountain Memories: February 2015
http://ourmountainmemories.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 27, 2015. Going for a Walk. The best antidote for a severe case of cabin fever is to head outside. The weather has been unseasonably warm here and our snow fled in record time. It all added up to a perfect opportunity to go for a walk! The lake still had it's layer of ice but that was about the only hint it was still winter. The sun felt lovely, even if the shade was still a touch chilly. Trooping through the woods. To a sunny beach. Where the rocks proved irresistible! Somewhere I'm sur...

Sunday, May 10, 2015. Our annual Mother's Day picture:. It was taken last week while we were visiting my parents (since it didn't work to go this weekend) but it works! So thankful for these lovely kiddos who did their best to grin even in the bright sunlight.(:. Fishing in the Lily Pads. Logan turned his hat to shade his face and it stayed that way. He got the hang of the fishing and would holler, "Fish on! The front of the boat can fit them all.barely. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The JM and H Show.

Mountain Memories: April 2015
http://ourmountainmemories.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Ryan decided to wish himself a belated happy birthday and took a day off to go fishing. How's that for a birthday present? An 11 lb., 29.5 inch rainbow trout. The kids were pretty excited for Dad. He pulled into the yard and they barreled out the door. Lane didn't even bother with shoes. Goofy kid! These boys can hardly wait to try again! Thursday, April 16, 2015. Spring Break, Continued. This is a bit safer location but the kids can be counted on to act like jail birds! The Grea...

Mountain Memories: More Visitors!
http://ourmountainmemories.blogspot.com/2015/07/more-visitors.html
Friday, July 10, 2015. We enjoyed having Craig, Shereen, Allen and Lisi for a night and a day on the lake. Remember those crazy temperatures I mentioned in the last post? Well, we had a windy day that stirred up the water and two days later the water temperature was back into the mid-60's - a more normal temp for this time of year but not nearly as tempting! Shereen built a Dagwood sandwich for Logan. Allen and Morgan were working together to capture some minnows. I think they met with mixed results.

Mountain Memories: September 2014
http://ourmountainmemories.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 24, 2014. I've never been one to spend much time on my hair. Pull it back, flip it up, insert clips, and let the ends curl as they may. Five minutes max. It's out of my face, no fuss and on to bigger and better things. Then comes the haircut. Then wisps of hair left lying behind. Fingers full of hair at the slightest itch. Shower drains clogged with hair. And finally the shaving before it gets any worse. Decided to go for a drastic new hair cut? UmmmI'm wearing a skirt? I'm sitting h...

Mountain Memories: Beating the Heat
http://ourmountainmemories.blogspot.com/2015/07/beating-heat.html
Friday, July 3, 2015. Temperatures around here have been a record setting 20 degrees above average. For the first time since we've moved to our mountain town it hit triple digits. It was a good week to go hang out in Bumpa and Grammy's pool! We were only missing 3 of the cousins - the two oldest and the youngest. With Bumpa and Grammy's air conditioner on the fritz, the pool got a workout! Pull harder, Logan! There she goes again . I love her little braid poking straight up.(:. A morning story with Grammy.

http://ourmountainmemories.blogspot.com/2015/07/the-4th-of-july-weekend.html
Wednesday, July 8, 2015. The 4th of July Weekend. This heat wave we've been having warmed the lake up to late summer temperatures. It was pushing 80 degrees in the water and the high 90's outside. Usually this time of year, the water temps are hovering in the 60's and you occasionally see a brave soul swimming around. This year, everyone. Was in the water. It was fabulous! Randy and Alison spent the weekend with us and we spent a couple days playing in the water. There go the big kids. Looks like a great...

Sunday, June 21, 2015. The kids have been bugging us incessantly to come hit a tennis ball with them. Their Uncle Geoff loves the sport and has got them excited about tennis. Our local Parks and Rec department offers week long tennis lessons and Lane and Morgan are hooked! We might have to fit another week in this summer. A big grin and 'bring it on! Mom, I'm on the wrong side of the fence! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The JM and H Show. Welcome to the Frontier. From This Front Porch.
