Running away from reality. Although I am more than happy to collaborate with most brands, I will only accept items that I feel “fit” my blog. Please note that whenever I produce a product review for a brand I will always emphasise that the post is a sponsored post. I will always emphasise whether I was provided a product or race entry for free in return for a blog post. All posts will be categorised in the. Running away from reality. A running obsessed hydrologist with a PhD from Westminster University. I'm currently juggling living between both London and Birmingham. I can’t believe that it’s September already! What if there were any were my running related achievements? What would I do differently given the opportunity? I then like to look ahead to the new month. Although I didn’t complete any races in August, I finally made it back to my local parkrun at Walsall Arboretum. Although I really enjoyed r...

Running away from reality. Category Archives: running gear. My go-to shoe: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 16. So where’s all of this leading? At the start of the year Brooks very kindly sent me a pair of the latest Adrenaline GTS 16 trainers. I’ve worn the Adrenalines for more than 200 miles, so feel that I’m in a good position to share some of my thoughts. I think it’s always a pretty good sign when you don’t notice your trainers when you are running. We were off to a very positive start. Following the London Ma...
Running in the summer | The PhD Runner

Running away from reality. Running in the summer. Although my asthma only makes an appearance between May and August, I love the summer and I love running in the summer. Once I’ve tracked down a pair of sunglasses that fit my child sized head and apparently wonky ears, my summer running wardrobe will be complete. So far this summer (I’m assuming that summer isn’t over), the majority of my runs have, however, been accompanied by one of the following…. Flying and biting things:. Running in the heat seems t...
Juneathon Day 23 | The PhD Runner
http://thephdrunner.com/2015/06/24/juneathon-day-23
Running away from reality. Thankfully my left foot was pain free and I was able to go for a much needed run. I decided to give my foot a break from the pavement pounding, and after waiting forever for my Garmin to function, headed towards the top end of Sutton Park. Less than 10 minutes later I was back running on one of my favourite trails in the park. I love living so close to Sutton Park and will miss my quiet trails when I move away. Cumulative Juneathon Distance 36.06 km. June 24, 2015. You are comm...

My favourite workout songs. The very first step…. This girls journey from the couch to a half marathon; the highs, the lows and everything in between. Running and exercise can be life-changing… my story. October 9, 2016. I know it’s been a while since my last post. I hadn’t planned it that way at all. Life just seemed to get in the way of sitting down and starting my posts and then as time went on, it seemed like I had left it too long to write the posts I had planned. Let’s now jump to 2010 and 20...

I was going to dominate this event! In April, I threw out my back, and swimming was agony. I rested, and then rested some more. The ongoing adventures of a geeky goth girl. I Will Get Better. Worth the Weight →. June 8, 2015. Day 7 and the weather was so nice that we couldn’t not go out. So we jumped on a train and headed off in the direction of Crystal Palace, somewhere that despite living in London our whole lives neither of us had visited before. At Liverpool Street we stopped in the Wetherspoons for some lunch where there were a number of people in Colour Run t-shirts. Well they certainly had a nice day for it. Sounds cool, w...

Juneathon Day 27 – parkrun. June 27, 2015. One hundred metres into this morning’s parkrun and I thought “I really hate parkrun”. Today was my 60th parkrun, so that thought was either a lie, or I am very good at convincing myself to do things I find repugnant. Juneathon Day 27 – 4 miles running and approximately 4 miles walking. The ugliest chicks around. 7 thoughts on “ Juneathon Day 27 – parkrun. June 27, 2015 at 5:21 pm. A uk based running blogger, training for marathons and beyond. July 26, 2015. Parkrun tourism – Great Lines parkrun, Gillingham. I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. We’d been exchanging tweets with some Twitter running buddies who were also running and it was lovely to catch up with Teresa, James and meet Lisa. We stood around shivering in the cold whilst I moaned about feeling a little bit delicate. I’d been out the night before for my first wedding anniversary. Wine and good ...900am came and we wer...

Going to conquer Cardiac Hill! Unfortunately, my Garmin decided that it wasn’t quite as up for the challenge as I was. In the end I spent almost 20 minutes loitering around Four Oaks Estate staring at my wrist. I love it when my Garmin makes me look like I’m acting suspiciously. Stop running Emma and walk....

December 2, 2012 · 8:59 pm. Reviewing November and welcoming December! It’s been a long time since I last wrote a post and I apologize for that. November was not such a good month for me at least not as productive as I would like it to be. I was sick with a gastroenteritis virus and then food poisoning from mushrooms. Yes, I know it’s like a joke! For the last two weeks each Monday I was starting with stomach problems and I’m little concerned about tomorrow! On the 5th of November. What I did accomplish.

O Eixo København - Leiden
Quarta-feira, 1 de abril de 2009. Este é o fim do blog. Amanhã será feita a (pen)última ligação Leida - Copenhaga. Final. Não escrevas aqui, GoEThe. Às 11:06 da manhã. Ligações para esta página. Não escrevas aqui, GoEThe.
