Feather on a Breeze: Oreo Ice-cream Cake
http://featheronabreeze.blogspot.com/2012/01/oreo-ice-cream-cake.html
Feather on a Breeze. Wednesday, January 11, 2012. I created an Oreo ice-cream cake. I've never made an ice-cream cake before and had a brainwave whilst chatting to Bugsy about what kind of cake he might like. He loved my suggestion so we went with that. I've never seen this done before, but I've seen similar concepts, I just winged it :-). First thing your going to need is a pudding bowl, or a similar plastic bowl. 2-4 packets of classic Oreo biscuits (I used 2 packets). 1 jumbo packet of Maltesers.

Feather on a Breeze: 1 Year Ago Possum Came Home
http://featheronabreeze.blogspot.com/2012/01/1-year-ago-possum-came-home.html
Feather on a Breeze. Sunday, January 8, 2012. 1 Year Ago Possum Came Home. One year ago today I walked out of the big children's hospital with my baby boy. He was still a tiny baby, just 2.7kg. This isn't his homecoming pic. It was taken 2 days before discharge when he was. Transferred between hospitals but shows how tiny he was in the baby capsule. His 100 day NICU roller coaster was over. He had made it! Was another scary time! Look at him now! Who would think such a strong little one had had such a ro...

Feather on a Breeze: Possum Update
http://featheronabreeze.blogspot.com/2012/08/possum-update.html
Feather on a Breeze. Saturday, August 4, 2012. Big drum roll for Possum. At 1 year and 10 months. What a long time coming that has been! We had a review with the paediatrician this past week and he was satisfied that Possum is finally putting on some weight even though it's very slow. We now have a green light to start some dairy and gluten food trials again. All the hard work is paying off! He's such a happy boy. I had to share these photo's taken today :). Feather on a Breeze: Possum's Story
http://featheronabreeze.blogspot.com/2010/10/possums-story.html
Feather on a Breeze. Monday, October 18, 2010. I called the hospital and threw a few things in a bag whilst Rusty got the kids some breakfast then I drove myself in to the hospital. When I got out of the car there was a big gush, and at that moment I knew for sure that my waters had really broken. I think I had been in denial up until that point! The reality is generally they last not longer than 1 week. I received another injection of steriods to help Possums lungs too. The balance of Thursday is a comp...

Feather on a Breeze: iPad - How it's changing our homeschool
http://featheronabreeze.blogspot.com/2011/12/ipad-how-its-changing-our-homeschool.html
Feather on a Breeze. Saturday, December 10, 2011. IPad - How it's changing our homeschool. We love our iPad, it goes almost everywhere with us and comes in very handy when waiting at swimming lessons or medical appointments. Most of all i love the way we integrate our iPad into our homeschool. I can see that we will do more and more on the iPad in the coming years as developers release more apps to suits the homeschool community. So, how do we use it for school? For handwriting we use Whiteboard Pro.

Feather on a Breeze: Saturday Afternoon Drawing
http://featheronabreeze.blogspot.com/2012/08/saturday-afternoon-drawing.html
Feather on a Breeze. Saturday, August 11, 2012. A bit over a week ago a friend passed on to me a DVD she received free with some Faber Castell pencils. She had purchased several packs of pencils, all came with DVD's and she had several copies of the same one. Her children had enjoyed it and she thought mine would too. Here are their final products. I will be keeping an eye out on my future Faber Castell purchases to check for free DVD's, certainly worthwhile. August 13, 2012 at 8:59 AM. 6yo Aussie Year 1.
