My little crafting corner. Wednesday, June 27, 2012. Challenge Me Happy Hoopla - Word Layout. I had high hopes to get all 7 challenges completed but time has run out on me. We are now on summer holidays and to celebrate we are going to see family and friends in NZ for a few weeks. Will be fun but not so sure about those cooler (freezing) temps! And then to the beach - am sure I'll have lots of new inspiration to scrap when I get back. Labels: Challenge Me Happy. NZ Paper Chase June Callenge. I had a few ...

Our Hong Kong Adventures: Celebration of Learning Day 2012
http://pfhvlally.blogspot.com/2012/03/celebration-of-learning-day-2012.html
Our Hong Kong Adventures. Celebration of Learning Day 2012. Paul and I went with Hannah to her school for Celebration of Learning Day. This is an annual event where we go and spend time with our child(ren) for a session up at school. We get to do some activities with them and get to have a chat with them and their teacher. Plus get to look through their portfolio. This is a selection of work that Hannah's teacher and Hannah herself has chosen. In the taxi on our way. Working on Venn diagrams.

My little crafting corner. Friday, June 28, 2013. Time to Dust off the Cobwebs. Goodness, it has been a while since I last posted. It really doesn't seem like it was that long ago but it's been.ahem.a while. And so much has been happening that unfortunately, my little crafting corner has been neglected. To get back on track thought I would share some fantastic, fun news. I have been published! Here is my layout that was accepted for submission. If you go to Page 52 of the magazine. Thanks for stopping by.

fiona lally creates: Daddy Dearest.......
http://fionalallycreates.blogspot.com/2013/07/daddy-dearest.html
My little crafting corner. Monday, July 1, 2013. Father's Day was celebrated a couple of weeks ago and I wanted to do a layout that focused on the relationship that my children have with their Dad. I'd been pondering how best to capture it when I overheard the girls repeating one of their favourite sayings "Daddy's the Best and Daddy's the Best"! And I knew what I was doing. To create this layout I used the First Avenue June Kit. This layout is my contribution to Scrapbook Circle's Challenge #54.

My little crafting corner. Sunday, May 27, 2012. It's been a while since I've posted but it's been a crazy time since March. I've had a trip back to NZ for nearly a month and then when we got back it's just been go, go, go. For all my best of intentions I haven't really been able to do much scrapping. Hopefully that'll all change. Challenge #23 at Challenge Me Happy. Really got the inspiration going with a fabulous sketch. I love the grid background and with my new Scrapbook Circle kit - The Story.

Our Hong Kong Adventures: January 2012
http://pfhvlally.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Our Hong Kong Adventures. Victoria is really expressing an interest in language. What letters make up a word, what that word says and is enjoying practicing writing. It's wonderful that she has this interest and wants to learn but makes reading a long story "short" abit more difficult now. This is what I often find her doing when she's wanting some quiet time. (the photo turned on me and I'm not surew how to rotate it). On a different day the girls and I went down to Times Square. I'd admired the dec...

Our Hong Kong Adventures: October 2011
http://pfhvlally.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Our Hong Kong Adventures. Hannah for her homework this week had to select a poem to perform to the class. She selected a fairy poem and we've been practicing it as on Weds it's her turn. I haven't recorded this poem yet as have worked on some props - they need to dry! Here are some I took of them this afternoon. It has finally happened. After 24 years the All Blacks are the Rugby World Cup holders! For New Zealand rugby this is HUGE! Front Page (sorry it's on an angle - can't figure out how to change it).

Our Hong Kong Adventures: August 2011

Our Hong Kong Adventures. While we were on our summer vacation in Thailand basking in heat, able to go swimming daily and enjoying care free summer days.family and friends back in NZ were not so fortunate. It snowed and boy did it snow! It snowed in places that doesn't usually receive snow like Wellington and even around Auckland. It was unbelievable! We were reading reports and looking at photos and going wow! Looking at the golf course. The beginning of spring (my favourite photo). Today it was Hannah'...

Our Hong Kong Adventures: Safety Town
http://pfhvlally.blogspot.com/2012/04/safety-town.html
Our Hong Kong Adventures. Then it was out to put it all into practice. There were 2 groups - the walkers who had to cross the road correctly using all the things they had in place and the riders. The traffic lights and the red/green man actually worked - added to the authenticity of it all. Using the underground walking subway. Waiting for the bus - there is no bus inside the area but loved how they all lined up and waiting patiently. It's a green man. Now they're the drivers. Checking it's safe to turn.
