Designed and built by local architect Bill Aven, the restaurant first opened in 1931 as The White Mink because the partners’ last names were . . . White and Mink! In 2003, Tony and Liisa Ebarb made extensive and much-needed renovations to the old inn, including creekside dining. Subsequently, ownership passed to Patti Bell and Tim Gray before closing its doors in 2010. Reopening in May 2016 with the simpler name The Pine Cone and a renewed emphasis on its legacy of live music, dancing and dining.
