Beneath The Pipal Tree. The Pipal tree, also known as Bodhi tree, is a sacred tree indigenous to India and Nepal. It was here that Gautam Buddha meditated when he achieved nirvana. I do not expect to have those same results, but I do intend to use this little space to document reflections and observations. Has become indoctrinated to believe that if it wasn’t documented, it never happened. So, as much as I don’t like it, I think at some level, I am writing because I want my future self to know what I was once like; that I, complete with my freakouts, nuances and ideologies, existed. Everything seemed to just work on Sunday, despite the fact that I was brewing in a small kitchen and that there is plenty of nice carpet that was just asking to be spilled on. The brew entailed the following recipe, which I adapted from the one here. 05lb CaraHell (Crystal 10L). 1oz at 60 minutes. 05oz at 30 minutes. Mash at 152 Â F.
