Book Review: Growing Up Social. Growing Up Social: Raising Relational Kids in a Screen-Driven World. By Dr Gary Chapman and Arlene Pelican. Dr Chapman is a giant for the traditional family unit and has written many practical and down-to-earth guides for marriage and family. This timely book is no exception. I read it for two reasons:. 2 My husband and I do not have children yet, but I’ve always enjoyed filling up my “Future-Kid-Knowledge-Tank”. 8211; Establish simple boundaries that make a huge difference.

It often occurs to me to write down my favorite “recipes” so I can share… But then it would be a recipe. And I might not like it! Well, backing up, you should know that recipes are my arch nemesis. I never follow them. They are weird. And I can make it up better. Ha! It’s a disease I inherited from my blessed mother. So, when I write down or follow a recipe, it’s because I love the idea of sharing it. So here is a recipe. (That I concocted while not using a recipe! I use entirely organic ingredients).

Friday, November 4, 2011. We had a very happy halloween. A little trick or treating with MBA friends and then back to our neighborhood. Monday, October 10, 2011. We had a great birthday weekend! We love Parker so much and can't imagine what we would do without him. We had 13 3-5 year olds. Lets just say it was fun chaos. We had games, games, crafts and cake. Later that day we headed to Roy for another party. We celebrated Parker and Zina's birthday and it was a real BASH! Sunday, September 11, 2011.
