It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end. -ursula k. le guin. Friday, February 13, 2015. All In for Tallinn. So, we booked our overnight ferry from Helsinki to Tallinn on August 25th, 2014 and decided to fly from Tallinn to Spain on August 27th, 2014. We were all in for Tallinn! Just because we only spent 30 hours in Tallinn (we didn't get off the ferry until August 26th), we didn't think we should post any fewer pictures of this charming city. Enjoy!

It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end. -ursula k. le guin. Thursday, February 12, 2015. The Best Birthday Ever! In honor of my great-grandmother's 96th birthday today, here's a story from nearly 6 months ago! Pasi remarked that they were from Finland and Marjo looked them up on her phone to show Brian. And that's when we learned that they were playing that very night in Helsinki. Moments before Marjo takes out her phone. Brian exclaimed. I laughed...

It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end. -ursula k. le guin. Monday, December 30, 2013. Middle Earth (aka New Zealand). We left Christchurch and headed east to Akaroa where we saw the world's smallest dolphin. Since it's summer below the equator, we were fortunate to get to see the dolphins with their pups. Now you can say that you've seen the world's smallest dolphin, too! What a sunset, huh? Those are glacier chunks behind us. Dunedin was our next sto...

The Plum Pudding Milton Village Pub - The Plum Pudding
The Plum Pudding in Milton is a great example of a proper village pub serving local and regional real ales and great food featuring pork from the Oxford Sandy and Black pig affectionately known as the Plum Pudding Pig. It has recently been purchased by owners Mandy and Jez Hill. It is in the heart of the village and is easily accessible from the A34 and 2 minutes from Milton Business Park. And a bite to eat. We also have a good selection of wines and malt whiskies, and the beers change regularly. We welc...
ThePlumpVegan's Blog – Can ThePlumpVegan lose 30 Pounds in 30 Weeks?
Can ThePlumpVegan lose 30 Pounds in 30 Weeks? I’ve been bad, but I’ve been good. So obviously I’m a TERRIBLE blogger… no consistency. But that doesn’t mean I haven’t been working towards my goals as set out in my first blog. It’s Friday and we all know what that means: Weighday. I haven’t given up on blogging, but it’s become apparent that daily blogging was a pretty ambitious goal for me to set for myself. So I’m going to adjust my thinking and try to blog at least once a week....May 14, 2010. So last w...

Saturday, January 10, 2015. The Case for the Minimum Win Requirement. Recently some long term owners have violated our league's established Minimum Win Requirement (MWR) which has sparked some discussions about why we would allow dedicated owners to leave Plumpy. Rather than take up an incredible number of World Chat posts, I decided to write a blog post about the history of our league's Minimum Win Requirement and why I consider it a vital piece to the health of our league. Then along came Julio Rijo.
