I know I really should be aware of the existence of early morning hours after my 6 months of training, but I don't think I ever started a run before 7am, despite my best intentions. And, lo and behold, I am up at 5:00 in the morning. Thank god we sent the cat with my parents. After my birthday because I can only imagine the hissy fit she. Thursday, December 10, 9:30am:. http://anniedeesadventures.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
42195 kilometres of krazy. Tuesday, October 20, 2009. You may have noticed that I'm no longer tracking my progress at the top of each posting. Yeah, that lasted a long time. And, if you follow us on Facebook, you may have been asking yourself whether I really elbowed someone. And, if you know me at all, you may have occasionally wondered whether I actually am running at all or just making up a really great story. Well, my friends, today, I plan on clearing all of this up for you. So, let me set the stage.

42.195 kilometres of krazy: Flight Day
http://anniedeesadventures.blogspot.com/2010/01/flight-day.html
42195 kilometres of krazy. Thursday, January 7, 2010. Friday, December 11, 7:15 am:. In the future, no matter my flight, I would like to always be at Pearson at 7am - there was NOBODY going through security, it was so fast and easy! We declared the couple Gala apples and bananas we had in our carry-ons to snack on and were soon to find out that Gala apples are out of season and not allowed to be brought into the US in December. Bananas are okay though. Jeff didn't think it was that funny. This is a prett...

http://anniedeesadventures.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
42195 kilometres of krazy. Thursday, November 12, 2009. Well, as many of you know, being a diabetic meant I was categorized in the high-priority group for the H1N1 Vaccine. After pressure from family and friends, last Friday, I finally lined up for my shot. They warned of side effects such as fatigue but I felt fine. So, the next day, I headed out to attempt my farthest distance run yet - 29km! Yesterday, I woke up, wrote out my route, and mentally prepared myself with 3 degrees of goals, as I always do.

It wasn't that hard to wake up this time though because my body is still back home, where it is 10am, so I've actually been tossing and turning for a while. So, although I'm feeling slightly tired, I'm really excited for today - there's a lot in store. Saturday, December 12th, 12 noon, Honolulu Time:. All of a sudden, mountains started popping into view.

http://anniedeesadventures.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
42195 kilometres of krazy. Saturday, January 23, 2010. Well, it's been over a month since Jeff and I sped through Hawaii - but it still feels like it was just yesterday. This is helped by two things: the helium balloons Jeff's sister had in our apartment, as congratulations, are still floating; and yesterday, my knees and back started to ache in a way that reminded me of the day after the marathon. Back in my first entry when we signed up, I laid out the following goals:. About a month or two later, the ...

42195 kilometres of krazy. Thursday, January 21, 2010. Sunday, December 13th, 2:30pm Honolulu Time:. Okay, pretend I am being very excited and full of energy as I write this.because I'm really not. I can't move. If anyone wants to experience what you will feel like on your 80th birthday - take 8 1/2 hours to finish a marathon. You feel pretty good (I mean, as good as you can, all things considered), and then you stop moving. Then there's problems. So, let's backtrack. Finally, we start hitting the crowds...

I'm sure that it was, not only a combination of not being completely on Honolulu Time, but also from waking up so early the last few days. We wandered down to the Hertz Rental car booth around 7am. It Check out is at 10, and our flight shuttle is not until 7pm, so Jeff and I both figured we could toss our stuff in the car and jump around the island all day. When we g...

42195 kilometres of krazy. Friday, August 28, 2009. From Running to Raising. Friday, 10:20 am. 55 minutes (2nd longest! Six 3-and-1's, Remainder 2-and-1's with two 1-and-1's when the wind and pain hit. Check Yes Juliet by We the Kings - "Lace up your shoes, Ay oh ay ohh, here's how we do, Run baby run, Don't ever look back". This song is definitely stuck in my head for the rest of today as well. Either way, it appears that, even though I felt like I was moving slowly, I'd still stepped it up a notch - a...
