Friday, March 14, 2014. Joys, Comparisons and Concerns. I love how uniquely different they are and yet how deeply connected they are to each other. I find joy in seeing them use their unique gifts. I desire for my kids to exprience success as they use their gifts. I understand how to develop athletic and academic gifts. I'm not as confident about developing Madelyn's more creative and personal side. But joy is lost when we are concerned for our children's health and things that may impede their ability t...

Finding Joy: Unusual and Unexpected Request

Tuesday, January 21, 2014. Unusual and Unexpected Request. Second thing you must know about Callie is that she loathes pictures. She throws fits anytime a staged pictures is requested. She never did get her two year old pictures taken. At 3 we managed a significant enough bribe and weeks of mental preparation to acquire a nice picture. The pictures that follow are the "norm" for staged pictures. Grandkid picture, Christmas 2012. FineI'll sit, but I'm not happy about it. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Saturday, May 10, 2014. Joy in Spring Flowers. Yes, Callie managed to get the soil out by herself. All that swimming :). Madelyn was quite excited out the selection of flowers and studied each label to determine if the plant was better in the sun or the shade. Getting the soil ready for our first pot of the afternoon. I find joy in the day working together in the warm sun, arranging beauty, and teaching my girls how to nurture and care for a beautiful part of God's creation. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Sunday, August 24, 2014. Finding Joy in Growth. Our harvest season started with our raspberry bush. This is the most berries we've ever had at one time from our bush. Madelyn is our raspberry girl. She loves to pick and eat them. We are lucky she shares any with us :). I'm still working on the space management. The zinnias over took my onions and my bush beans were, well pole beans. They were and continue to be extremely productive. I could pick beans everyday. Although we did not grow these blueberries,...
