Sunday, August 29, 2010. This Post Will Be Random. Hello How are you? I am tired. But I can't sleep, so here's a very random post from my home to yours. School started last week. First up? A lesson in the armor of God. I think they look ready for battle. How about you? As we say hello to a new school year, my thoughts wander back to some of the highlights of our summer, like seeing cousins. Lazy days at the beach. A visit to the bean. He's got LOTS of it.). Approaches.and with it comes. And then. this.

Sunday, November 15, 2009. These pictures are all out of order, so you'll have to forgive me. I'm too tired to move them around! It was a fun weekend but a long one, so bear with me. Yesterday, we crowded around the computer (because the game wasn't televised in our area) to watch the Huskers play. It was a nail-biter to say the least, and we were pretty much on the edge of our seats the entire time. They did pull out a win in the end. Here's mom watching:. Cody and Cass.such a sweet duo. And then Jerry ...

Monday, January 25, 2010. Today we were out running errands after we finished up our school work. After a quick run to the grocery store, and at the boys' request, we stopped into our local bird store. They have two cats there that the boys love to visit, and I needed some bird seed for our feathered friends. She looked at my sweet boys and said, "Boys, did you know that no two snowflakes are alike? They're all made completely different, just like your fingerprints! We serve an AWESOME God! He says to th...

Tuesday, December 14, 2010. Happy 9th Birthday, Cody! Tomorrow you are turning 9. 9! Another year has passed and I'm wondering (again) where the time has gone. Just yesterday you were being born and the nurse put you in my arms to hold for the first time. It really doesn't seem possible that 9 years have passed. An engineer, an artist? Whatever you set your hands to, I am positive you'll succeed. Number 8: You're thoughtful.and not just when it comes to people and their feelings. You are a thinke...Numbe...

The Berger Buzz: Remembering.
http://thebergerbuzz.blogspot.com/2010/09/remembering.html
Saturday, September 11, 2010. Like everyone else, I will always remember exactly what I was doing and where I was when the first plane hit the World Trade Centers on September 11, 2001. Lives, but I'd never known that type of fear for myself. I felt the movements of my baby and gently put my hand to my growing belly. For the first time in my pregnancy, I felt fear for him. For all of us. In three months time, he would be here. What kind of a world was this going to be for my new baby? Life With All Boys.

Wednesday, October 21, 2009. This has been a busy fall with lots of outdoor learning opportunities and good old-fashioned fun! We've been blessed to find some unique ways to tie in our activities with our curriculum. The boys spotted a wooly worm and learned from Daddy that the length of its stripes can reflect how long the winter will last. I won't tell you what this one shows (but I will say I think we're in for it! As we came up over the hill, we saw people getting rides on wagons. This is in the Serv...

Tuesday, March 30, 2010. We discussed how that applies to us today.how Jesus is our perfect, spotless lamb, sacrificed because of our sins, and how God's protection rests upon us if we call ourselves children of God. When Jerry came up to pray with us, Caden announced that he was ready to ask Jesus to be his Savior. Daddy led Caden in the sinner's prayer and when they were finished, Caden said, "That made me feel like I was at Monkey Joe's! Friday, March 26, 2010. 10 Years: March 26, 2000. And so, I invi...

The Berger Buzz: I Left My Heart in the Mountains
http://thebergerbuzz.blogspot.com/2010/10/i-left-my-heart-in-mountains.html
Friday, October 29, 2010. I Left My Heart in the Mountains. We then spotted two more of them and figured we'd found a snake den! We also did something new this time that we'd never done and that was to take the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail. The views from the lookout points were beautiful there as well.and proved why they are called the Smoky mountains! The colors were breathtakingly stunning. I've never seen Autumn in full color like this. Below is a picture the reflection of the colors on the water.

Sunday, December 20, 2009. Merry Christmas and More! Seasons greetings, blog readers! I am thankful you are here to read, despite my lack of blogging lately. I am so behind on everything, but I had some time today to get out a post about our family happenings. Soooo, without further ado, here's the latest. I was so proud of my "pupils.". On a happier note, we went to see "The Nutcracker" for the second year. This is definitely going to be a tradition. We enjoyed it so much. Caden's first time up on the p...
