The Process of Going Unprocessed

The Process of Going Unprocessed. Wednesday, April 21, 2010. I have no idea how I thought of it, as usually I'm a stick-to-the-recipe kind of gal, but fortunately it turned out to be edible. And not just edible but something I'd like to eat again in the future. Anyway, check out the new recipe feature.I'm hoping to add lots of recipes along the way, most of which I hope to be unprocessed for the most part. Obviously mayo is processed, but it's a work in progress, people. Monday, April 19, 2010. Today my ...

The Process of Going Unprocessed: Quinoa and Cake

http://theprocessofgoingunprocessed.blogspot.com/2010/03/quinoa-and-cake.html

The Process of Going Unprocessed. Saturday, March 20, 2010. This week I tried a few new things. The first thing we tried was something called quinoa (pronounced keen-wah). I've heard of this grain before, as it has been recommended to me by friends and even doctors, but I have resisted it for quite some time now. Honestly, it never sounded very appetizing and I assumed that it would require a lot of effort to make it. I was wrong! It was sooo good! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Process of Going Unprocessed: Tortilla! Tortilla! Yum Yum Tortilla!

http://theprocessofgoingunprocessed.blogspot.com/2010/03/tortilla-tortilla-yum-yum-tortilla.html

The Process of Going Unprocessed. Monday, March 29, 2010. If you know the tune of the title for this post and now have the song stuck in your head, you are a dork just like me and watch too much Barney, just like me. If you don't know the song, turn on PBS Kids and I'm sure eventually you'll see Barney and friends singing about various bread products, tortillas being one of them. Which brings me to my point: Tortillas. And that is just 1 more step in my process of going unprocessed. What This Is All About.

The Process of Going Unprocessed: Farmer's Market

http://theprocessofgoingunprocessed.blogspot.com/2010/04/farmers-market.html

The Process of Going Unprocessed. Saturday, April 17, 2010. Today my family and I went to our town's farmer's market for our first time. I wasn't sure what exactly to expect. I mean, I obviously assumed there would be organic produce and probably some other home made goodies, but I was eager to find out if there would be anything that I'd really want to buy.or anything that I'd really be able to afford! Good news: there was! When you can actually get it to grow! Anyway, so I bought these great, healthy-l...

The Process of Going Unprocessed: Pancakes, Flapjacks, & Hot Cakes, Oh my!

http://theprocessofgoingunprocessed.blogspot.com/2010/04/pancakes-flapjacks-hot-cakes-oh-my.html

The Process of Going Unprocessed. Saturday, April 10, 2010. Pancakes, Flapjacks, and Hot Cakes, Oh my! Just so you know, I do realize that it has been more than 1 week since I posted last, thus not adhering to my previously stated goal of making at least 1 change per week. Guilty as charged. Honestly, I was less than motivated and other (dare I say more important? They're so easy to make and they're soooo yummy! Here is the recipe from the May 2010 issue of Parents Magazine. I substituted coconut oil).

Words from the Heart: January 2012

http://amiller79.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html

Words from the Heart. Monday, January 30, 2012. I've been thinking about how quickly time flies lately. My baby boy will be 27 months on February 9th! It seems so long ago since I had him yet I can remember it like it was yesterday. He is just as beautiful now as he was then. Every night as I put him into bed I thank God for the little miracle He gave us. I can't believe this sweet little baby. Is now this handsome big boy! Tuesday, January 24, 2012. We aren't promised tomorrow. Because I knew God was go...

Words from the Heart. Monday, June 27, 2011. Prayer Monday, June 27, 2011. What an AMAZING week I had last week. We had our Summer network conference which our church hosts. God definitely showed up! Tears come to my eyes just thinking about how awesome and good He was and still is. Thank you so much for praying over this for us! With every good there comes a bad it seems. The enemy is trying to rain on my spiritual high! Monday, June 20, 2011. Prayer Monday June 20, 2011. Monday, June 13, 2011. I also g...

http://amiller79.blogspot.com/2012/01/heres-to-2012-and-retrospect-on-2011.html

Words from the Heart. Tuesday, January 10, 2012. Here's to 2012 and a retrospect on 2011. OK, so I took a blogging hiatus because I felt like I didn't have anything worthwhile to blog about and/or I was too busy to blog about it. I would like to say I will blog more in 2012 but I can't make any promises. At the beginning of October, the 9th to be exact, my son turned 2. He has been 2 for three months! It's flying people and I am afraid I might miss something. Now that we have looked back at what you miss...

Prayer Monday, March 28, 2011. 1 God gave us an AMAZING time at the Women's Retreat. 2 My son survived being alone in my husband's care for over 24 hours ;). 1 I am asking that God will help me to keep seeking Him out and not let everything come undone from the Women's Retreat. 2 I pray that He continues to highlight people for our members to invite so our small group will grow and touch more lives. 5 I pray for the church plant we are sending to Athens, Ohio...

Words from the Heart. Monday, September 26, 2011. Prayer Monday, September 26, 2011. So I skipped out on Prayer Monday last week because I was trying to be still and do some listening. It's amazing what that will do for your prayer time. A lot happened in the two weeks since I didn't Prayer Monday but let's just say it has been rather trying. Continue to pray for me that I will be a little less Chatty Cathy with God and do more listening. I don't really feel like I have been hearing Him much lately&#...

Words from the Heart: We aren't promised tomorrow....

http://amiller79.blogspot.com/2012/01/we-arent-promised-tomorrow.html

Words from the Heart. Tuesday, January 24, 2012. We aren't promised tomorrow. I've been thinking a lot the last couple days about how we aren't promised tomorrow. No matter our age or health there is no guarantee that we will be here tomorrow. We may have an unexpected death or Jesus may return. Obviously I would prefer it be the latter. I'm not trying to be morbid but I was made to face reality again on Sunday. This morning at 7:45 EST my brother Captain Joshua Cole Pairsh USMC passed away following an ...

Words from the Heart. Monday, July 25, 2011. Prayer Monday, June 25, 2011. God has been good this past week. Nothing spectacular has happened and my son did have a minor accident but God has still been good. We have a roof over our heads, food to eat and clothes to wear. I am trying to be more thankful for the things God has given me instead of bemoaning the things I do not have. Tuesday, July 19, 2011. He does it again! I am thinking a bunch of thoughts simultaneously, "where's it coming from? Oh and di...

Words from the Heart. Friday, January 28, 2011. The Things I Never Dreamed I Would Do or Say. Before I became a mother there are several things I never thought I would do or hear myself saying. I have listed them below for your enjoyment/dismay. If you are a parent I am sure you understand. If you aren't a parent yet.You will understand sooner or later. 1 I never thought I would pick up another individual and smell their rear to determine if I thought they had pottied in their pants.
