The Providential Garden: Pot People

http://www.theprovidentialgarden.blogspot.com/2011/03/pot-people.html

What do you understand by the providence of God? Friday, March 18, 2011. I decided I wanted to make Pot People for my garden so I began collecting any old, used pots I could find. I found some at a nursery in Cayucos for as little as $.25. Target closed their Garden Center and I was able to buy some pots there for about 75% off. I found instructions online that were only marginally helpful, so it was pretty much trial and error. This is my Pot Fairy. 65279;. With "string of pearls" hair. And TA - DA!

The Providential Garden: Lavender's Blue

http://www.theprovidentialgarden.blogspot.com/2011/01/lavenders-blue.html

What do you understand by the providence of God? Sunday, January 16, 2011. Lavender's blue, dilly dilly. I bought this chair from a Gardening Fellowship friend, Marilyn. When she had a yard sale. Actually, I got many great things that day. It sits in my Grey Garden, an area devoted to a color I particularly love in foliage. I am always on the look-out for silver-grey plants such as the santolina, or lavender cotton, and helichrysum, or licorice plant, seen here. Both require little water.

What do you understand by the providence of God? Sunday, January 23, 2011. 65279;. 65279;. Wednesday, January 19, 2011. These copper canisters and copper flour sifter were found at the Goodwill Store. I used a hammer and large nail to make drainage holes in the bottoms of the canisters; the sifter already had holes! Quite a tongue twister! A "sweet" container for succulents. Some of the plants are a bit scraggly after the wind and rain we've had! Sunday, January 16, 2011. Friday, January 14, 2011.

Beyond the garden wall graze widgeons - whistling, dabbling ducks that come to our pond in the fall and leave in early spring to head to their northern summer homes..
