Wednesday, April 24, 2013. A Visit to Kindergarten. Some of the kindergarten parents have been taking turns visiting the classes in the last few weeks. We have been doing crafts with the kids, reading books, or sharing about our jobs. Yesterday I visited Caroline's class and read a book. The classes have been studying oceans and sea life, so Caroline chose a book we had at home called Commotion in the Ocean. Ms Talley took some pictures of us as we read. In other news, didn't we JUST start kindergarten?

Thursday, December 8, 2011. We have an artificial, pre-lit Christmas tree that we have used for the past five years. It is big, and beautiful, and very convenient to put up and take down with very little mess. The only problem is- -it's FAKE! It doesn't smell good like a Christmas tree should. Last year I had a live wreath on our front door and it smelled so good and fresh, so I decided that this year I wanted the whole house to have that Christmas tree smell. Saturday, October 20, 2012. Today we spent the afternoon at the pumpkin patch! The girls look forward to going every fall. They have so many kids activities, and we are always have a good time. Ella picked out a pumpkin that was just her size! The prettiest almost 6-year old that I know! We are headed into the spooky corn maze! Thankfully we made it out! She's sad that the season is over, and I happened to notice that this same youth league has an indoor season starting in January for her age group, so I am going to check into that next week and hopefully get her signed up for that as well. Here are some highlights from her final game with the Groovy Gang. Caroline and Daddy practicing before the game. Check out that goalie in action! Caroline scored 3 goals during this game! Friday, December 3, 2010. We had a busy, but wonderful Thanksgiving. We started the holiday with the birth of our very 1st nephew on Wednesday! Chase Patton Wilson joined the family at 9lbs 3oz! We're so excited that Landon will have a boy cousin so close in age. With three older nieces already in the family the boys are going to have to stick together! We just replaced our downstairs unit last summer so we were less than thrilled to be replacing the upstairs now. Room Makeover: A Nursery. Tuesday, August 11, 2015. Spring Pictures. And. Processing. This is going to be a weird post. I never posted these pictures that I took back in the spring, though I meant to. I must have been preoccupied with early pregnancy or having three kids under 4 or something. Anyways, I love them- so here they are. We took the kids on an after-dinner stroller walk along the creek and took a few wildflower-photo-opp-breaks. We had a blood test at 10 weeks that told us we were having a girl.

As an adult it doesn’t have the same “feel” as it did as a child of lazy days and suntans - but I still love to welcome Summer! Funny thing is that we LIVE in the summer temperatures all year long, and yet I still welcome the summer. If I could live at a cool 70 something degree climate - that would be great, but I enjoy the HEAT! Heat has a way of bringing out the little things, doesn’t it? I gotta Amen that right now!

It represents the family sticking together through the challenges this past year with Jaydan's cancer. The Hattons gave all of our girls new towels with their names engraved on them.
