Malik and Elias Fisher. Thursday, June 26, 2014. The boys and I took a quick overnight trip a couple of weeks ago to Cedar Falls to visit my college friend, Nicole. We hadn't been up there in a couple of years so it was a trip well overdue! Nicole and Tom have two children, Avalon and Jasper. The kids all had a great time together. Elias drying off after some outside water gun and sprinkler time-. It's a bit of a zoo at Nicole's house! Sacked out after a long and fun day-. Cuddle time with Aunt Wendy-.

G is for Gaulke: February 2010
http://gisforgaulke.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
G is for Gaulke. Saturday, February 20, 2010. Welcome home, cousins! We got to see Mason's cousins, Will and Natalie, a few times while they were home from Haiti for about 3 weeks. After the earthquake hit, my brother and his wife thought it best for them to come back to the States for awhile while they figured out how things would work in Haiti. It wasn't the reason we wanted them to come back, but it was so good to see them! More Fun Times with Friends. Putting on a show. The Sunglasses Chase is on!

My constant reminder to enjoy and cherish the ages and stages of our children. Thursday, April 10, 2014. Glad we have that all cleared up. I get up to go find the source of the footsteps and again find a fast-stepping, tummy-rubbing, confused Laura. I asked her what she's up for. Stepping. Rubbing. I say, "how about you go potty, and you can tell me while you're in there." I carry her to the bathroom. She looks at the toilet, pulls down her jammies, and starts to sit down. "No! G is for Gaulke: May 2010
http://gisforgaulke.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
G is for Gaulke. Tuesday, May 25, 2010. Mason loves to sing and does it often, but whenever I try to catch it on video he gets silly and stops. Well, I finally got him to do it last week, so here's his rendition of "Baa, Baa, Black Sheep" and a short version of "God Made Me," his current favorite from the church nursery. First Splash of Summer. Mason loved it and wanted to swim again this morning. Alas, this morning we have a monsoon instead! Expression for pictures.are there lessons for that? I decided ...

I'm so thankful to have a parent-partner like you! Tuesday, June 7, 2011. Born June 5, 2011, at 11:58 am. 7 lb 11.6 oz., 20.5" long. Head of dark hair. Jury still out on who he looks like. So much. So, so much. But I must say I find myself wondering how we got here already- where did the last 3 1/2 years go? The last 9 months?

My constant reminder to enjoy and cherish the ages and stages of our children. Friday, January 10, 2014. Slide, slided, slode. Child of mine: Did you see how far I just slided? Me: Yes, I did. It was a good one! I don't think slided is a word. How about. Child of mine: Oh, yeah. Slode. Um, no. Slode is not a word. How about slid? Child of mine: I'm sure I've heard slode before. Me: Yes, but it's slowed, as in "I slowed down when I was going too fast.". Tuesday, January 7, 2014. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

My constant reminder to enjoy and cherish the ages and stages of our children. Friday, February 14, 2014. Passed on to another generation. This past fall, I saw her at the same craft fair where she was selling her newest book. Still excited by the fact that she's writing books, I quickly bought the newest one to give to the kids for Christmas. Then I found out that she'd be doing a book reading at our library a couple of weeks before Christmas. My kids were going to get to hear her read her new book!

G is for Gaulke: 4th Fun!
http://gisforgaulke.blogspot.com/2011/07/4th-fun.html
G is for Gaulke. Sunday, July 10, 2011. I'm a little late on getting it posted, but I just can't seem to get much of anything done these days besides holding a baby boy! At any rate, here are some pics of our 4th of July fun at the parade in Sully. The day also included fun swimming with cousins in Grandpa and Grandma Nikkel's pool and fun with water balloons and fireworks in the evening. It was a good but exhausting day! Uncle Duane and Cousin Emily leading the parade in his cool squad car.
