Monday, July 11, 2011. One glorious week every summer my family and I have the rare privilege of visiting Camp Merryweather. Nestled along the shoreline of Great Pond in Belgrade Lakes, Maine this old boys camp, a wonderful conglomeration of rustic cabins, kayaks and "dipping" spots, makes for an ideal family meeting place and get-away. The shot below was taken one breezy evening a few years back after all of the day's sporting activities had come to an end. Location: Belgrade, ME, USA. Off in the woods.

These would have highlighted the controlled chaos of the fish markets, the impeccable order of the temple complexes and the relative uniformity of Tokyo's 30-million inhabitants. In our time there we had the opportunity to see the best that Cairo had to offer and, at times, to catch a glimpse into the private world of. Some of the people who called it home. "Hast du Lust, heute um 13 Uhr im Adlon den Twitter-Gründer Jack Dorsey zu interviewen? Büro: "Eigentlich sollten das zwei Wirtschaftsredakteure vom Blatt (also der gedruckten ZEIT) machen, aber einer ist krank. Und die andere ist jung, unerfahren und total nervös. Montag, 29. August 2011. So sieht es aus, wenn mein neuer Arbeitgeber feiert. Nett, sehr nett, wenn auch nicht gerade ekstatisch. Ob auch hier die Letzten um sieben Uhr morgens nach Hause gewankt sind oder ob die Frankfurter mit der großen Boots-Sause einen Punktsieg feiern können, muss ich nachher noch verifizieren. Dienstag, 26. Juni 2012. Berlin und was man da so tut. Die beste Schokolade gibt's in Mitte bei Fassbender and Rausch. Unten gibt's das Zeug in allen erdenklichen Formen und Geschmacksrichtungen, oben im Café gibt's ultradekadente Törtchen für ca. 5 Euro das Stück. In Berlin-Dahlem (Anfahrt: Mit der S-Bahn zum Arsch der Welt, und dann sind's zu Fuß noch 10 Minuten) gibt's den drittgrößten botanischen Garten der Welt. Guter Ort, um nette Nerds zu treffen und was über Netzpolitik zu lernen.
