From Cabin to Camelot. Musings of life back on the grid. Profound Quote Floating Round Pinterest. Isn’t funny how we find ourselves drawn to Pinterest boards and various blogs that cover (in great detail mind you) all the things we dream of achieving or owning or being? Do you ever wonder how close to reality most are? How many loads of dog pooped doormats and throw up do their wonderfully pristine laundry rooms really launder? What a beautiful setting I lived in! Make ya want one no? You know the ones!

Over the Fence Urban Farm. August 9, 2015. I Heart Our CSA! This afternoon our CSA members turned up and knocked out some seriously good and important work. Here are a few highlights. Sarah and Emily helped my harvest nearly 40 lbs of new potatoes. Then Melissa helped me replant the row with some quick growing haricot-vert. This slideshow requires JavaScript. Carrie harvested beans that have already come in. Liz and Melissa did some heavy weeding to help prep the old garlic bed for fall crops. Urban Farm...

From Cabin to Camelot. Musings of life back on the grid. I’m so happy with my new pot! Doesn’t that sound funny? Well, I am. I was blessed the other day to enjoy a whole day out doing what I love thrift store hopping/shopping. I usually have to be speedy, not this day, it was wonderful. I found a fantastic brand new pair of hockey gloves for the Little Big Boy for only 4 bucks! Yes, you can gasp! Who would love these educational deals? An Artist in the Making. Over the Fence Urban Farm. Tag Archives: Backyard tomatoes. July 5, 2016. Tomatoes Growing Up One Vine. People sometimes look sideways at our tomato vines. We grow them up strings tied about 6 feet up from the ground, prune them down to a single fruiting vine, and they grow to be about 10-15 feet long by October. We fit around 20 plants in a 25 foot row. This practice was the result of reading Fell’s Vertical Gardening. Pruning must be done at least once a week. 8211; but as the fruit sets this season, I...

From Cabin to Camelot. Musings of life back on the grid. Good-Bye for now, Granny Goose. It has been a little over 2 months since that night. It was a Sunday, we watched the Superbowl that day, hoping for the Seahawks to win, but it really didn’t matter. We sat and watched, waiting, crying, praying, knowing there were angels in our midst, preparing her way. Our Blog is Moving to it’s New Webpage! Good-Bye for now, Granny Goose.
