Tuesday, 20 December 2016. Make your own Gingerbread House. Is there anything more festive than a gingerbread house? 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda. 3 tsp ground ginger. 2 tsp ground cinnamon. 175g soft brown sugar (50/50 mix of light and dark). 5 tbsp golden syrup. Icing sugar for glue and decorating (I used about 250g in total). Mix your dry ingredients then add the butter and crumble with your hands to make breadcrumbs. Bake on trays for about 15 mins on greaseproof paper at 180 degrees celsius (fan).
