The Quirky Frog

Friday, February 10, 2012. It's good to be back! Yes it has been a while but lots has been going on! The biggest is due in May! More on that later. So I started this quilt a while back. Here. Is the post. It took me pretty much a year to complete. I was working on it sporatically in the beginning because I thought I didn't have a deadline. Then, back in August, I learned things were going to change so away I went! Once the strips were cut, it went together pretty quickly. Saturday, August 6, 2011. I had ...

The Quirky Frog: September 2010

http://thequirkyfrog.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html

Thursday, September 23, 2010. So I am about the embark on by far my largest quilting project to date and I am psyched! Not intimidated at all. Really! It's a twin sized quilt for my daughter's bed. Now for those of you who know me, know that my little one is no where near sleeping in a bed yet. I'm starting early! That way I won't be under the gun to finish. At least that's my plan! Along with plain white and a red (for the border) I am supplied and ready to go! Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Since the shi...

The Quirky Frog: Come On Spring!

http://thequirkyfrog.blogspot.com/2011/03/come-on-spring.html

Wednesday, March 23, 2011. I don't know about you, but I am so ready for spring! With a few warm days to tease me, and the temperature dropping as I type this (not to mention the snow that is falling on my NJ friends right now), all I can think of lately is warmer weather. Playing outside, planting flowers, and wearing flip flops of course! So getting ready for spring, I started a new backpack! I did make this one a little bigger than the last one. Plus a little tag to hang a pen between the two pockets.

The Quirky Frog: December 2010

http://thequirkyfrog.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

Wednesday, December 8, 2010. It has been hard for me not to post all the sewing projects I have been working on lately, but, I don't want to spoil anybody's Christmas! Many projects are gifts. But here is a taste of what I have been up to:. A friend of mine needed a baby gift and she asked me to make a Taggie. This has super soft fleece on both sides and lots of tags for baby to play with! I didn't use any kind of pattern for this one. Just freestyled it. All the edges are bound and the wipes are...I hat...

Wednesday, January 16, 2013. I will be the first to admit.I just love a good home or room makeover show. Who doesn't? In an ideal world, the husbo and I LOVE to completely re-do our kitchen. Blonde Moments In The Burbs: Pregnancy Moment #693

http://blondemomentsintheburbs.blogspot.com/2013/07/pregnancy-moment-693.html

Tuesday, July 16, 2013. Today's pregnancy moment trumps all previous pregnancy moments I have had and makes those seem not even worthy of the title of a "pregnancy moment". BAHAHA. Today I showed up at my OBGYN's office for my routine prenatal visit. Except it was the wrong day. DOH! The sweet receptionist smiled at me and said "That baby is sucking all of your brain juice". She was so sweet, bless her heart. We both got a good chuckle and went on about our days. August 15, 2013 at 4:44 PM.

Blonde Moments In The Burbs: March 2013

http://blondemomentsintheburbs.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html

Friday, March 29, 2013. Today I reached a milestone in my pregnancy - 20 weeks, otherwise known as the 1/2 way point. I am literally in awe at how fast things are progressing. When I first found out I was preggers, 9 months (40 weeks, really) seemed like an eternity to have something growing inside of you. Apparently not. We find out if "The Peanut" is a BOY or GIRL in 3 days. That's approximately 4,320 minutes or 259,200 seconds, but hey, who's counting? Stay tuned for the reveal! Links to this post.

Blonde Moments In The Burbs: February 2013

http://blondemomentsintheburbs.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html

Friday, February 22, 2013. Babble #1: The reason for no kitchen makeover reveal post yet is simple. I forgot to take pictures this past weekend, and by the time I get home from work during the week, it's already dark out side which ='s poor pictures. Sorry. You are going to have to wait a few more days. Is the suspense killing you? I didn't think so. I just feel fat at this stage. Babble #3: We celebrated Emmit's 3rd birthday last week. I can't believe he's 3! He enjoyed some doggie cupcakes.

Wednesday, August 21, 2013. I still don't know what I was waiting for. And my time was running wild. A million dead-end streets. Every time I thought I'd got it made. It seemed the taste.
