JeNN's blog

Saturday, December 23, 2006. I had my brithday party last Saturday on the 16th. It was a blast! I got in the house, the next thing I know I'm in bed, dry heaving into the garbage can next to the bed. I don't remember taking any of my clothes off. Nothing! I will never drink vodka in large amounts like that ever, ever again! That's all my news for now. Take care everyone. XOX. Poetic Pains Wrote On 12:01 AM. Sunday, November 19, 2006. What a shitty day! That's all of my bitchin' for today. Take care e...

The ramblings of me: amymelissa

The ramblings of me: amymelissa. Sunday, April 14, 2013. Thai-style Salmon and Salad. This is a delicious recipe I have adapted from this original one. I have been having so much fun cooking and experimenting! This one is a definite winner. It serves 2, but is very easy to adapt for more (in fact, the marinade will probably do for up to 4 salmon fillets). Small bunch coriander, washed. 2 green chillies, seeded and chopped. 3 tablespoons lime juice. 1 tablespoon fish sauce. 100g thin vermicelli noodles.

The Ramblings of Mohoroski

The Ramblings of Mohoroski. Monday, January 09, 2012. A Light Shining in the Darkness. Gratitude It’s an odd thing really. What is the use of gratitude? Acknowledging someone’s goodness or charity does what? As far as I can tell it is only useful as encouragement to continue a certain type of behavior But WHY is gratitude encouraging? Why don’t we say To hell with your thanks, I’m doing what’s right and that’s all there is to it? Why do we need someone to pat us on the head and tell us good job? It shine...

The Ramblings of Rachel

The Ramblings of Rachel. Tuesday, November 1, 2011. It may surprise you to hear this, but today is the first day of November! Ok, maybe I'm the only one that is surprised. This has been the fastest year ever. And no, of course I don't say that every year. Really. At least not loudly. It might not be a big family, but it's mine and I'm grateful I have it! Thursday, October 13, 2011. The girls and I are going with my mom tomorrow to go visit my grandpa! I just keep telling him to think of all the unlimited...

A Peek Into My Mind...

A Peek Into My Mind. Tuesday, July 21, 2015. The Voice of the Lifegiver. John 11 tells a story…. They tried to prevent Jesus from going near one who was dead because it wasn’t worth it. Jesus goes, despite His disciples’ opinions on the matter. He meets the sisters, Martha and Mary, and eventually asks where Lazarus is buried. The women take the Lord of life to the grave of their brother. They brought Jesus close to the dead brother. What’s the point? I see myself throughout this story. Jesus tells m...

Thursday, February 26, 2009. Ooh i like that portable dvd player, what great prizes. ;-). Wednesday, February 25, 2009. I really enjoyed doing this (as I did with the last Web 2.0 learning exercises). I think it is really important for us as librarians to at least be aware of these new sorts of technologies that are emerging on the web - even better if we can be confident to pass this knowledge on to customers. This was great fun and I'm glad I was able to participate, :-). Social networks for week #5.
