Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Truly it has sprung once more. Amanda and I had some fun bringing spring into our house a few weeks ago. I'm lost in wonder at the way we can rest. Excelsior: class of 2015
http://marcinakauffman.blogspot.com/2015/05/class-of-2015.html
Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Ten days ago, these guys made a valiant dive into life. These two worked so hard in school. They did more than what was required. They paved pathways for those behind them. I grew up with these kids, and some of my favorite memories include them in our first three years of school. Laurie and I spent a fun evening in Pittsburgh with our brothers to capture their senior faces. Rylan, you make me proud in so many ways. I'm so blessed to have you as my little brother.

Excelsior: About the name
http://marcinakauffman.blogspot.com/p/title.html
By Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. The shades of night were falling fast,. As through an Alpine village passed. A youth, who bore, 'mid snow and ice,. A banner with the strange device,. His brow was sad; his eye beneath,. Flashed like a falchion from its sheath,. And like a silver clarion rung. The accents of that unknown tongue,. In happy homes he saw the light. Of household fires gleam warm and bright;. Above, the spectral glaciers shone,. And from his lips escaped a groan,. Try not the Pass! The young man...

Excelsior: the children
http://marcinakauffman.blogspot.com/2015/04/the-children.html
Wednesday, April 22, 2015. There was a man. Overcome with frustration, he penned words. His name is kurt bestor. He wrote "Prayer of the Children.". This song brings tears to my eyes and deep emotions to my heart every time. Empty eyes with no more tears to cry. Reaching hands, with nothing to hold onto. In the shadow of an unknown room. Blood of the innocent. Never settle for less! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Ramblings of a Whimsical Teenager.

Monday, May 11, 2015. You may call me sentimental. But today, to celebrate the bright, hot sunshine and an incredible day off work, and the fact that summer truly seems to have arrived, I made popsicles :). Comes to mind as I think about the many summer evenings spent slurping at these gems. I remember the way we'd fight over the Mickey Mouse ones.somehow they always tasted better. http://marcinakauffman.blogspot.com/2015/07/friends-photoshoot.html
Monday, July 20, 2015. Throughout the past few years, I've watched these ladies grow and learn and begin to stretch their wings. They've learned to really think. About relationships and the Kingdom and the Bible,. And they're not afraid to ask questions. It is such a privilege to be involved in their lives, and to watch God write their stories. There is so much potential right here, and I'm excited to see what God will do in and through them! She has such a sweet spirit, and is full of grace. O markree, ...

Tuesday, July 28, 2015. Cuz i love love LOVE my youth group, and sorting through some recent pictures made me remember that time we spent the evening in the beautiful city of Pittsburgh to celebrate Independence Day by watching fireworks and eating food and whatever else.
