Grafting and Grace: June 2011
http://graftingandgrace.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 25, 2011. This is the Day the Lord has Made. This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it! This was the verse we used at our wedding 4 years ago. We chose it because we felt that God had set that day aside for Tim and I from the beginning of time. He ordained that day to be the day we gave our lives to each other until death do us part. Here is an excerpt:. We pray for wisdom. Your voice to hear. And we cry in anger when we cannot feel You near. Our birthparents are ...

Grafting and Grace: October 2010
http://graftingandgrace.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 27, 2010. Praise you Lord for being in control! Wednesday, October 20, 2010. When God Closes a Door. She is going to grow up in a broken home, being carted back and forth between birthparents. I know God's plan is to prosper and not to harm. but it is hard to see that in this situation. At this point, the agency is no longer pursuing an adoption case. They don't want to do anything that could damage the birthmom in a custody battle. That in itself is frustrating as well! Our potential ...

Grafting and Grace: The Legacy of an Adopted Child
http://graftingandgrace.blogspot.com/2011/06/legacy-of-adopted-child.html
Monday, June 20, 2011. The Legacy of an Adopted Child. I can't read or even type up this poem without sobbing! It was in a book we are required by our agency to read titled "Dear Birthmother". It is the perfect words to explain the legacy that both a birthmother and an adoptive mother give to their child. I hope it opens your eyes to the beauty of adoption! The Legacy of an Adopted Child -. Once there were two women. Who never knew each other. One you do not remember. The other you call mother.

Grafting and Grace: July 2010
http://graftingandgrace.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 11, 2010. One thing I have really enjoyed this summer is swimming with Little Bug! She wasn't to fond of the swimming pool earlier in the season. the water was a little cool for her. But, once the outside temperature went up, so did the water temp. Bug loves to splash and play in the water! This was the first pool we got for her, which she enjoyed until she figured out she could crawl right out of it! Walking in the water with Granddaddy. Chillin' after a fun day at the pool. :). Grafting and Grace: December 2010
http://graftingandgrace.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 13, 2010. Back in the Saddle. We bathed her in prayer, came up with names, started imagining what our life would be like with her in it, and then, just as quickly as she came into our life, she was gone. And even though I will probably never see her face, she will still have a piece of my heart! I praise the Lord for her brave mother who is working so hard to give her a good life, in spite of the circumstances! Each baby and birthmother needs our prayers and love, regardless of whether t...

Grafting and Grace: September 2010
http://graftingandgrace.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 16, 2010. About 5 months ago, Tim and I went out for a date night. Bug was staying with my parents so we actually had some time to relax and talk! Out of the blue, Tim tells me he is ready to start looking into adoption. This was HUGE! She is due the 1st week of November which is less than 8 weeks away! We sent along the information and got a call a few days later that she had contacted our agency. Although she is still not sure if adoption is what she really wants, she is in cont...

Thursday, June 9, 2011. Is Our Journey Coming to an End? Well friends, I figured it was time to let you in on where we are in our adoption journey! Tim and I received a call on Tuesday, May 24th that we had been chosen by birthfamily to be the potential parents for their baby! I think I laughed and cried at the same time when I heard the words, "We are calling to tell you that you have been chosen"! Pray that God's will would be accomplished in the lives of all involved! They are having a BOY! Truly move...
