https://nlmars.wordpress.com/2011/07/11/once-upon-a-read-a-thon-update-1

Once Upon a Read-a-thon Update 1. July 11, 2011 at 5:39 pm ( Read-a-thon. Well, I’m back, like I promised, and here are a few quick stats about the last few hours. I woke up with a sore throat and a migraine today, so I’m a bit loopy on cold and flu medication, which is making reading a bit of a challenge. BUT I WILL PERSEVERE! I need to make a dent in my library book pile so that I can actually manage to read books for review and books that I own. Books Read Since Last Update:. 3 hours, on and off.

Goodbye, Old Friends. July 18, 2011 at 7:00 am ( Uncategorized. I’ve been thinking about this for some time, and I feel I must act on it. I’m abandoning this blog, in favour of a pretty new blog over at BlogSpot. Mainly so that I can have that Google Friends Connect thing, and show how many delicious followers I have. If you wish to visit me, I will now be found over at http:/ booksfrommars.blogspot.com/. So, I say farewell. It was great while it lasted.🙂. July 18, 2011 at 7:08 am. How I Rate Books.

Short Attention Span Fiction. Short stories by Jennifer Miele. What is SAS Fiction? Happy 2012 from the darkened theaters of Virginia! Come out to audition for this classic: →. April 18, 2014. An hour later, the doctor crept in, his puzzled expression marring what I assumed was a typically smug countenance. He stared at the iPad in his hand. “Your tests came back somewhat… irregular. We’ll have to do more tests.”. Being monitored — by two armed guards posted at the door. The anti-anxiety drug s...I start...

OMG now I have a MEGA book haul to show you *grinning from ear to ear like a crazy girl*. These three were from The Works (a UK bookstore) and were a bargain at £5 for 3! How could I resist? Yeah, I know I'm...

Top Ten Tuesday (3) |

https://thebookienook.com/2012/10/30/top-ten-tuesday-3

October 30, 2012. Top Ten Tuesday (3). So for this week’s Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by The Broke and Bookish. We have kick ass heroines that we love! Such a fun topic. I love her spunk, and sarcasm. She was awesome (and I can’t wait for book 2! Well, if I were you I would high tail it out of there. From The Hunger Games by S...

REVIEW: To Fall For You by R.J. Groves. When Emma is shocked to the core by a surprise break-up, the sudden arrival of the 'new girl at school' sends her into a frenzy and pushes her down a journey of heartbreak and betrayal. Will Emma be able to overcome life's hurdles and learn to love again? I first heard about this book from a friend on Facebook. Learning that the author lives in my home town and was releasing her first book, I immediately pre ordered it! Overall, To Fall For You was a fantastic debu...

The Reading Disciple | Feeding the Christian Mind through the Habit of Reading

Feeding the Christian Mind through the Habit of Reading. Reflections on the Psalms by C.S. Lewis. Bull;October 12, 2011 • Leave a Comment. It’s been a while since I last wrote a review. When I finished. I was still thrilled by C.S. Lewis’ depth of insight. Then I saw a copy of Lewis’. Reflection on the Psalms. Since this book is quoted by John Piper in. I immediately grabbed it. More challenging to understand. But as usual, one will still find the genius of Lewis in the book. Death in the Psalms. I agree...
